I am writing to tell you how fucking excited i am.

I recently finished all of the MGS games twice. One time through in order of release date and recently in chronological order. Finishing all of them gave me shivers and the true brilliance of kojimas work stands out amongst the rest.

If you know something about how it ends... dont bother. Im not going on the forums until i finish the game. Its tomorow people! If you have a PS3 and arent getting it, you should be ashamed. If you dont have a PS3 you should be ashamed.

Is there anyone here with a PS3 thats NOT getting it?

Anyway. I will write back with my full MGS4 review once im finished.

I cant wait. Ive never been so excited about a game. Ive been following the story like a book for like 9 years now. Ever since ive started playing games the MGS series has almost always been my favourite. Tomorow. The end begins! Its sad but at the same time im so happy.

I think im gonna cry at the end.

There's these bullets in the game called emotion bullets.

There's RAGE, CRY, LAUGH and SCREAM. I'll leave your imagination to figure what happens when you shoot an enemy with them.

There's also a camo mask you unlock by doing the hardest end game emblem which you get after completing the game with all your stats. I won't tell you what it is but enemies will start screaming as they see you. They'll scream until they go unconcious.

I'm excited for this game too.

I feel like a five-year old on christmas eve. This game is gonna rock so hard!

I think the reason so few people have posted about it is because they're so busy playing it. I got mine last night too, although it almost didn't happen because two idiots almost got in a fight over line position and the Gamestop employee threatened to just close up right then and there and not give anything to anyone until the next day.

Anyways, it's really good so far. I've played like 3 hours and I don't think I've gotten too far (just past The Frogs) Having long cutscenes all the time will do that I guess. Can't wait to get home from work to play it again :)

I actually saw an advert for it last night while I was watching The Aprentice...I guess it must have been before or after as BBC doesn't really have MGS4 adverts. Either way it looked ok, its only for the PS3 which is annoying they should make a worse version for the PS2, who gives a shit about their profits going down drammaticly I want to play it.
In the advert Ocelot seemed to hold up his hand probably the snake one and all these soldiers dies so what is that about foxdie or something?

On topic, anyone notice 3 sly-ish details on the mission briefing of Act 2?

1. Press L2 to look through CCTV, press Square (I think to look in the kitchen) and you can see a PlayStation 3 on the table.

2. Otacon uses an Apple Mac.

3. The desktop background on the Mac is Poilcenauts, Hideo Kojima's very first game I believe. There was also a character called Meryl Silverburgh in Poilcenauts too.

This game kicks so much ass, that I'm a proud to be an owner of a PS3.

Guys, this game is the best game ever! Last night i had 17 hours of gameplay on 2 schooldays. Thats quite a lot even for me. There are so many nice touches that totally add to the whole thing. I love it. So far the plot is extremely well done and i cant wait to play almost only for the reason that i wanna know what happens. Anyway. Im on act four and iv beaten 3 out of the 4 "Beauty and the Beast" things. Theyre all extremely hot by the way.

Im on a really hard boss battle right now. No idea how to finish it. Im scared to look it up on IGN incase of spoilers. Im gonna go play it now. The only one thing that is wrong with the entire game is slightly rough textures on the environment during cut-scenes when you zoom in. Thats about it. Its to date the best looking, most fun, and the best story in a game ive ever seen.

And fuck you Matt475. Were just hear enjoying an awesome game so dont try to ruin it for us. Dont take it out on us that youre pissed of your mum didnt buy you a PS3 for christmas.

After playing MGS4 for so long Snake's textures seem so poor. :O

Also, I think that if you go into First Person in MGS4, it can rival Crysis' graphics.

This game, is the best game, ever!

So many jaw-dropping revelations, stuff that never made any sense before are crystal-clear to me now.

I love this game but i stuck on Vamp. Its hard. You keep killing him and he just gets up! Help if anyone knows how to do it. Im too scared of going on youtube incase of spoilers and GameFAQs is out of the question.

I didn't figure out Vamp until Otacon actually told me. I must have knocked him down at least a dozen times before doing it properly. The only other tricky bit in the game was Raging Raven, although that just took ages, it wasn't particularly difficult. Liquid is quite tough at the end, too.

It's not a hard game, though. Went through the whole thing in just short of 19 hours, in two sittings.

Yeah. Have you done it on big boss hard yet? Great game. Im on screaming mantis right now. Its a special kind of technique but just keep on calling up otacon and rose and you should be able to figure it out.
