You're right, it could go either way, but I'd rather have a close championship game than a shutout. I've always enjoyed a close baseball game

they havn't been in the world series the last two years i dont think..they kinda fluke years if you ask me
but hey, if you have a good team, why be ridiculed and that? oh well, i say they put pricing caps on MLB so that other teams can get the good players and the same teams (yankees) dont end up always having the best players for themselves

That is a great idea. It gets old seeing the same teams in the World Series year after year.

exactly...but i still dont think anything can help the detroit tigers.
but it may save monreal expoes from going to puerto rico (i live up here, and they are a rather loved sporting team, only pro league teams within practical visiting range)

The Tigers and the Milwakee Brewers are definitely beyond help.

Okay, so now I don't know WHAT to do.
I HATE the Marlins. HATE. With a seeeeeeething passion. They beat my Cubbies.
So I'm going to have to watch the Series and pray the Yankees knock them on their asses.
That or it's gonna be just another excuse for REAL beer instead of that lite stuff.
Ohhhhh...Booooooooob. :) Care to make a wager?

Sorry, but the World Series isn't worth watching this year. I doubt anyone outside of New York and Flordia is going to care enough to watch. The world wanted a Cubs/Red Sox or at the very least a Marlins/Red Sox game, but they didn't get it. The game BARELY went to the Yankees, they would have been beat if their 10 million dollar hitter didn't get thrown a pitch by a player who SHOULD HAVE BEEN PITCHING IN THE 8TH INNING! Jesus christ, the Yankees won due to the dumb managing. They should have taken out Pedro, he was too tired to pitch. The yankees won on dumb luc. Next year it will be the Red Sox all the way, let's at least hope that it will be. I'm tired of these boring, idiotic, and pointless Yankee world series.

And it arrived in the 11th inning!
Look people dont jock a good team.....yes i am a Yankee fan and they have done great.....others have come and gone and baseball is baseball. If you have a good time go with it nothing wrong with that in the least bit. It goes like this the strongest survive and keeps going........Maybe it was luck but, the Sox' manager said that Ped wanted to stay in and try to finish and he didnt well thats life and you learn.........on that note onto The World Series......

All baseball sucks. The best thing that can happen is a sweep in the World Series...so that my regularly-scheduled Simpsons episodes will stopped being pre-empted by four hours of mind-numbing tedium.

I agree. I pretty much gave up after the Cubs lost, but what tiny bits of interest I had were completely eradicated when the Sox blew it. Fucking baseball. Always disappointing.

Go Red sox! It'd be nice to c an underdogg win the world series. Like the cubs, they came so fucking Close! But, since the cubs r out, I want to c the other cursed team, The red sox win. The yankees win to much ne way, they like buy there fucking championship. By the way, what is the red sox curse again? I know the cubs curse was from a fucking billy goat.

The Red Sox curse came after they sold Babe Ruth to the Yankees. Ruth went on to great fame, fortune and baseball greatness. The Red Sox... well, they have been 'cursed' ever since. No more World Series tries for them, it seems.
