If by "fucking up" you mean beginning to pay attention to the Middle Class, stopping a senseless war, improving our economy, and improving our Health Care system, then yeah. Royally.

I think we all know why Obama's winning this election.

I'm simultaneously watching CNN and MSNBC.

This is the one time of the year when I like to watch Fox. It's fun to watch them squirm and try to support McCain against all odds.

Fox is actually very interesting to watch just to get the "biased republican self-deluding uneducated voter" demographic's viewpoint. I'm not even kidding, either. They say some shit I would (fortunately) never even think of. It is pretty hilarious that they're scrambling to the mouth of denial in McCain's defense.

Yeah Obama has 200 votes at the moment. Seeing as California and Oregon are pretty much in the bag, he can count on getting 60 more. If he wins anything else he's basically won.

Plus Obama's probably gonna get Colorado, and is ahead in many of the states in the vast emptiness that is the middle of the country.

THIS JUST IN: MSNBC has Obama up 200 to 124.

Read the previous posts on how race has nothing to do with Obama's current victory.

Back in February 2007, his support was largely due to his race. That's definitely worn off 22 months later, and I'm sure that all non-blacks could care less about his race. The same goes for many blacks, and I speak from experience.

A lot of white voters in Virginia (I think it was) said that race was a factor against Obama, and yet 30% of the people who said this voted for Obama. Go figure.

They're voting for change. Never mind the fact that the change is unspecified (or that it takes a Sold-Out Whore to be a nominee from either mainstream party).

While I didn't vote, I do take some satisfaction in reminding Republicans that their man Bush made this slaughter.

Y'all could've relieved some of the "tectonic stress" by letting Kerry have it last time, but NOOOO...

At least Kerry was another Skull and Bones Yalie. Y'all like Skull and Bones Yalies, don't you?

I'm having more fun than I've ever had on election night, watching a guy win who I didn't vote for.

Actually, Joe Biden and other people on Obama's staff kept lowering the number. Obama has stayed steadfast all throughout.

I'm flipping between BBC and MSNBC on TV. David Dimbleby's apparent disdain for Fox News, John Bolton and the American election process in general has been marvelous.

Virginia is flipping for Obama according to CNN.

I saw that, too. Maybe that 30% was the white youth of America. I know a lot of kids at my school (I live in the South, so my school is 99.99% White) who would vote Obama because they think he's a change and 'hip' and 'cool'. Or I could be wrong. I don't know...

Indeed, and that's the site I've been paying attention to. Obama has the race in the bag if all of the projections they've made are true regardless of the east cost undecided states. California, washingtion, and oregon are enough to give it to obama, and that's ignoring his home state, hawai. Race is over, expect a consession speach at midnight.

The modern Nazis and the KKK aren't smart enough to plan a successful assassination. Come on, driving high speed past Obama and hoping to shoot him fatally? How is that even remotely intelligent? And they were caught before they even started it.

Plus, Secret Service provides enough security for a Jewish guy in the middle of Mecca.

I want the war to end but I don't like the ideas of socialism

Obama does not offer socialism that has not been present in the government already. Some aspects of our government is socialist - prominently, the health care of our Federal Agents (Senators, Representatives, etc.) and our military. Obama's "redistribution of wealth" is summarizing the entire tax system which is a redistribution of wealth from your wallet to areas such as schools and hospitals.

I think we'd be better off if Gore had won in 2000, yes.

I don't think Kerry would've made much difference. Skull & Bones vs. Skull & Bones, y'know. The crucial screwups were made during Dubya's first term. We just "stayed the course" after that.

We sure did...we stayed the course all right. But he was just a dumb kid who didn't know what he was doing because his daddy got him in the White House. I think everybody should lighten up on Bush. He made some mistakes, but every human has got to make some sometime. That includes Gore, Kerry, and Obama. Unless, of course, they're not human. o_O

There would've been no 9/11 under Gore. 9/11 could've been prevented had the President sat down and discussed the CIA reports about a bin Laden attack on US soil. As per Sec. of State Rice's admission, they were presented with that report. Obviously, they didn't take it seriously until 9:00 AM, 9/11/01.

Yeah, Bush did make a mistake with not looking at that....but can we really be 100% sure that Gore would have prevented it? I mean, there is no certainty of what could have been. There probably is a better chance that it could have been less severe or totally prevented, but we just can't be sure.....

I'm sure it was like midday GMT last time that we discovered Kerry lost and Bush won.
