My Art for the Music peoples

A lot of my graphic design work is for people in the music business, upcoming artists, record labels, bands, and just about anyone else who needs to put their name out there.

I'm choosing a few of my better works such as Album Art, Desktop Backgrounds (Request Full Size & Quality versions if you'd like), Banners, Posters, and now and then a few graphical interfaces for programs or skins...

Any criticism is welcome, I just ask that you be helpful rater than attempting to be demeaning.

I use Macromedia Fireworks 8 for pretty much anything you'll see early in this topic, but I've recently switched to Fireworks CS3, and will have more work created in it as the topic progresses.

I'll start simple with this graphic done for Toxin13's myspace, which I'll probably alter into Album Art when the time comes. Not sure about the quality left on the text of this one, but I'm more interested in what you think of the rest...

This is some Album Art for "The Derdy Disk" by a horror core rapper Filth-E, and the album also happens to be up for free download, so if you're into that type of music, just request it and I'll PM you a link. Tell me what you think of my first attempts at a grunge styled CD cover...

the second one is pretty busy, and I think it distracts from the name of the artist and the album. it would be much more effective if it were cleaner and simpler.

A widescreen background for Filth-E, scaled down for use as a myspace background. Anyone know dimensions for a double widescreen format?

Yup, definitely agree here. Hard to read both things there, but especially the bottom text. Bring them both to the front, and put a white border around the black text, and a black border around the white text. Then they can be read no matter where they are on the page.

Also, in the first picture the girl has a very grainy and low quality texture on her, which is made worse by contrasting it with the high quality text.

The gas mask looks out of place since it doesn't have a high amount of light on it like the girl does. The biohazard nipples are a cool idea though.

i think the correct ratio for that is 2.39:1 but im not entirly sure, test it, i hope it helps
