I want to start doing sprites and pixel art, because I find it more flexible for animations and stuff. Also, it looks nice. Also also also, I'm getting tired of vector. Vector is just too smooth and perfect and real.
I can make simple sprites now, with MS Paint (I don't have a tablet). Yes, they really are very simple.
I've been playing MapleStory, an MMORPG. The creatures and characters are all pixels, and they are beautiful.
I was just wondering how to be as pro as them, or how to start being pro. I'm still stuck with Mario-like sprites, which I think aren't very good-looking.

dithering, pixel economy, and... well, actually knowing how to draw.
do a google search for how to make sprites, and you'll find what you're looking for. i recommend the one with the wrestler. i forget which one that was.

This one? Yeah I love this tutorial.
I recommend starting with simplistic, smallish characters, then working your way up to larger resolution characters like that dragon.
