Ok ive just moved over to starting flash and for 3/4's of an hour everything was fine and dandy, i have had flash MX for ages now and just not used it but i thought to get started i might start with a few sprite animation try outs (Not published! please don't pelt me with fruit Newgrounds!) and i know everyone will start whining when i ask for help on this forum cos my problem is extremely n00bish but i'm having mega trouble with tweening. don't ask me to go and watch the pre-set flash tutorials at the top of the page cos i have and although the sprite one helped me loads it doesn't mention tweening with sprites.

I Know how to take from sprite sheets and put together to make a little man move standing still and shiz but i wanted them to move across the screen and i tried looking at some tutorials that say to "make a keyframe and then move your little man across the stage and then make a motion tween etc. "

Ive tried that, my little man hovered across the stage like he was on ice skates with no movement.

Help!

please go easy on me but point out what i'm doing wrong and send me on my way.

This'll get you going on how to run looping movieclips. Ignore most of the start unlless you want to know how to rip your own sprites. check the last several steps.

Have done but says nothing about getting them to move across the screen, thanks anyway though, there seems to be thousands of ways to rip sprites. (ugh i feel like such a noob)

Once your movie clip is made (several sprites inside of a F8 symbol movie clip), and you do the tweening skate from one side to the other, try previewing your movie (pressing CTRL + ENTER)

You'll see your sprite animated
