Help training with sword!

I'm a Viking re-enactor with the viking society and train every saturday. The thing is i haven't been able to traing for the past three weeks with my re-enactment group [holidays and such] and won't be able to train next week either. I'm worried that in this time my ability with my sword will diminish =[

Basically i wanted to ask if anyone in the forum knows of any techniques i can use to train on my own! I have 8 basic attacks i can got through, i can visualise opponents and fight them but that won't keep me busy for very long and isn't very helpful. So, does anyone have any suggestions of how i can train on my own? THANKS!

First of all remember that as a viking, you find killing children to be hilarious. Than build on it.

Well, if you want to learn new abilities, you have to equip items that have abilities that your job can learn, then fight some monsters so you can earn enough AP to be able to use those abilities without the item eqipped, but if you want to just do more damage, you need to.... well I guess you need to kill monsters for that too, except you don't need to worry about equipment unless you want to increase your stats.

One of my friends at an SCA event (ren fest type thing) would put coconuts strung on a low hanging branch and swing them every which way. He would then pick up his swords and try to parry and hit them. He dual wielded short swords so he could move them pretty fast. this probably won't help if your using a two handed flamberg, but it will help for short fast weaponry.

You could always get a friend and heavily duck tape some bats and train on them! And yes, it does hurt.
