Wrong. They buy it every year because they're fucking morons. Almost all of my friends do this, with either Madden or other EA Sports franchises, and no matter what I say, they insist that each one is a different game. I just have to facepalm and tolerate it.

Does this list only pertain to console only games? Because I've always heard the best selling game of all time was The Sims franchise.

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

I guess I should have just looked it up myself to begin with.

Pokemon Red, Blue and Green have sold 20 million copies. The Sims has sold 50 million, 70 million with expansions.

Yeah, but what's the actual difference between Madden 07 and Madden 08? That's right, none. Well, the cursed athlete on the cover. But that's about it.

I have Madden 2004 for my PS2 and Madden 08 for my 360 and they are pretty much the exact same game. There is very very very little different in the way of gameplay. They just don't care anymore since they monopolized the NFL game market.

At least the NHL series has benefitted from a bit of competition from the 2K series. NHL 08 actually had new gameplay that was refreshing. Its a world of difference from the other older games of the series.

I know that this has little to no relevance to the topic at hand, but all this talk about the repetitive nature of the Madden franchise makes me wish that someone would remake Mutant League Football.
