Of course we are trying to get oil! That's why the price of oil has gone down so much since we've invaded right? Oh wait, no it's tripled. Also, if we "just leave", everyone will NOT be happy. Let me break it down to ya. Iraq has three main groups, the Kurds, The sunnies, and the Shia. Now, the Sunni and the Shia hate each other. What do you think will happen if we just pull out all of our troops without making Iraq stable? Well, most likely a genocide. So please think before you make baseless accusations against the US government.
