Why do you hate anime?

I understand if you hate the anime show's like Naruto or Bleach but why would you hate the style? That's like saying Bugs Bunny is a crap show because they use Anthro's instead of humans.

because anime isn't even animated half the time any good western animator will tell you that anime is hardly animation it's soulless, cookie cutter animations by very lazy animators. Where as bugs bunny has personality, originality and animation that is actually animation.

I'm a fan of some anime artists. Hayao Miyazaki, Monkey Punch, and Mine Yoshizaki to name a few. The genre definitely has golden nuggets, and some shitters, just like American animation. It's a shame that the most well-known anime, or Cartoon Network anime as I call them, get the most attention. They're not quality shows, but they're what people think of when anime is mentioned.

As for the drawing of anime, it's a craft in and of itself, but, as I've said before, if an artist can only draw anime, that person isn't talented. Anime drawings are highly stylized, with proportions and realistic facial features being totally thrown out the window. If you can draw it well, good for you, but you should still expand and draw other things.

Because animation requires significantly more suspension of disbelief than live action does. That's why animation works fine for comedy, but doesn't work in drama. I can't care about a character who has impossible hair and spends their time doing back flips and hitting robots with a sword 4 times the size of France. Once you stop caring about the characters, tension is impossible, because you're not bothered what's happens to them, and the whole show just falls apart.

I like anime but only if they have a solid storyline and with some decent animation brought upon it.

Ex. Samurai Champloo, Rurouni Kenshin, Ranma 1/2, etc..

With the vast majority of the stuff, it's all style and no substance. Also, I can't wrap my head around what's supposed to be a serious film or show having ridiculously exaggerated character animation. And then there's the blatant objectification of female characters, the irritating androgyny of male ones, and the overall juvenility of almost every work in the style. And no, gore and sex do not make something non-juvenile.

I'm sure that there are a few animes out there I would like, but I find the form to generally be highly flawed when it attempts to convey serious human emotion, and ridiculously stupid when it attempts to do anything else.

Well, I'm not going to go say the animation is bad, because I don't see it as that bad, but the storyline, I just hate. It seems like the samething over and over again and for character developement, I just see the samething over and over.

You have a mysterious character whose dark and shady you have the girl who is in love with him, but he doesn't give a shit until the very end, or until she's dead. And I want to see a good anime that doesn't involve fighting every ten seconds of the show.

I have tried drawing manga though, it may seem easy, but its a drawing skill that needs to be developed. Though, when people see others draw manga, they react in a

"OMG UR SO GODLY!!!!!!!!!!! AWWW U MUST B THE BEST ARTIST EVVARRRR" So it is a little bit overracted, but in my area that is.

Bugs Bunny isn't anthro he's a fucking bunny that talks. You wanna know why I hate anime because the boys (mostly) in naruto have voices as straight as a fucking rainbow and yet they get to fuck the girls after they've gotten implants in the doujins. A lot of it is about devilry and witchcraft which I despise.
A lot of it is derivative and they use the same devices.
Overt sexualization of female characters.
Two many gay characters.
I'm tired of the wide-eyed baby doll look.
They make TOO many characters that look Caucasian.

Too many annoying characters.
The voices are annoying.

I told people at the Adultswim boards I hated Fooly Cooly and Bleach-they hated me and I got in trouble.

Bugs Bunny is anthro-that's what most funny animals are-they exhibit some human quality-even characters like Pluto.

There are TOO many slutty female characters in anime-too many half-naked large breasted females who walk around with their breasts sticking out.

Bleach is a prime example of that.
