I don't really like short games, they disappoint me when i want to see more. I would say Army of Two, i beat the game before i could actually enjoy it. There are only 6 levels in the game, (these 6 levels also include the training level) and those levels were not too long either. How about you guys?

Ratchet And Clank: Size Matters.

Parappa The Rapper 1 and 2 were really short games. Short but sweet! Plus the soundtracks are so memorable that you just want to keep playing through them over and over again.

Dead Rising is a short game when playing the normal mode, 3 days is about 6 - 7 hours (maybe a few more with overtime mode). I still think attempting the infinite mode achievements is ludicrous.

Yeah but it could've had some more elements to it, such as the water draining portal which they did not include, or gravity shifting rooms. It was an excellent game, but if you finished you just want more. But I guess they're including all new toys and options in a sequel of portal. If they plan making it.

I don't know, I just rather not get stuck back in the lab again.
Yeah and killing people with portals ofcourse. And not to forget putting random people in endless loops just because you can.
So zetta slow!

Very few levels means either one of these two things about the game. One; the levels are long and take up so much space that there is not a whole lot of room for more levels, or two; the author is really lazy or just doesn't want to do a whole lot of levels.

The original Jak and Daxter was pretty disappointing in terms of length. I did marathon it, but I was able to beat the game and get 100% of the collectable doo-dads in about eight hours over the course of two days.

I wont bore you because I could be here for some time, but heres a few:
God of War : Chains of Olympus - PSP, finished it in 6 hours
Call of Duty 4 - PS3, finished it in 5 1/2 hours
Uncharted : Drakes Fortune - PS3, finished it in ~9 hours I think
I hate spending £40 on a game, only to complete it the same day, it pisses me off, thats why I know MGS4 will last me a looooong time, I'm a massive MGS fan so I will want to get absolutely everything in the game, and Metal Gear Online will be great too, the beta rocked.
I love metal like crackheads love anal. and crack.

The Ghostsquad game for the Wii. Only has 3 missions, each like 10 minutes long. Aside from a few neat unlockables, and the ability to dual weild if you have 2 wii remotes, the game is over in a flash. Still a fun game though, but 30 bucks is still a bit too much for only 30 minutes of gameplay.

The shortest game of the modern era is most likely Portal, but I wouldn't technically count it, because it comes with a large amount of other content for the price of one game. In proportion to price (as in, full-priced, one game), I'd say Black is probably the shortest modern game. It was practically made to be rented.
As for the shortest game ever, that largely depends on player skill. A quick YouTube search can show you people speed-running some NES/SNES era classics in around 10 minutes. Insane.

An NES game that can be beaten in full in 12 minutes featuring Toei Animation's logo cat.

There was some DS version of ''The little Mermaid'' that takes half an hour to beat.
Also, shortest game I've played must've been Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks
Meh.
