Let's explore this topic.
I believe in life outside of Earth. i am 99.9999999% sure of it. The reason it isn't 100% is because of lack of proof.
Now look at it from my point of view: if you understand how truly large and uncomprehensible the Universe really is, then how can it be that this small planet in the outskirts of a galaxy in the middle of nowhere is the only place in existence to have life?! I believe there is life as near as a few stars away. The Universe is seeming with life. (I'll do a post going into more detail on Life some other time.)
Now, let's look at some possibillities. What do they look like? NOTHING LIKE US. They will have hardly any similarities. Same with every Universal civilization. After all, on these planets, Evolution took a different course. Natural Selection and Mutations occurred in a different pattern and result.
Will they be nice or evil? Depends on the civilization. Keep in mind their morality could have evolved differently. Whether or not Earthlings are the most primitive or most advanced, we don't know. There will be civilizations still in their personal stone ages, and civilizations with technologies we can't even comprehend.
And the variety of life will be awe-inspiring. Look at the variety of life on Earth! (Animals only have eyes and limbs like we do because we started from the same evolutionary path, we just parted ways! I am sure alien life will look like something we haven't imagined.)
So, why haven't we seen em yet? It could be that they have seen us, but we are too primitive and hostile. Or maybe nobody has cared to check this little corner in the nowhere of the Universe.
I am sure that one day we will be extraterrestial neighbors, interacting. Think back long ago on Earth, when countries raged wars and never contacted. We will wage wars with them. We will have problems. Galactic Wars will happen. We will pick a side. It's the same thing as the countries on Earth,
just a larger scale.
The possibillities are so endless. It's stupid to debate cause we just don't know. Are those alien visitings hoaxes or something bigger? Depends on whether you're asking a scientist or a conspiracy theorist.
We are so young. We're like Japan in the 1800's, refusing any outside communication. But one day Commodore Perry (the aliens) will knock on our doors. And the Earth will enter a new era. Only question left to answer is when.
Please discuss your opinion on this. :)

The chances of life are so little, that I am 50/50 on the possibility of life. And if there was life there, I wouldn't call it "life," I don't think they're intelligent to our prospective.
Anyways, they would be so unlike us, right now, we can't imagine how they will be. Its complicated, I doubt it will just be like us finding a create that we can actually communicate with.

I highly doubt that any of the civilizations that possibly exists have the right equipment to go to far away galaxies. I personally don't believe in aliens, but I'm sure that millions of planets away there are some forms of life, infact, we could very well be the "advanced" civilization compared to other life.
Who fuckin knows?

There is alien life out there. But chances are we'll all be long dead by the time it's ever possible to even come close to meeting them.

The human race are war mongers, I am 100% sure there is life out there for i have seen stars far up in the sky moving around eachother like it was easy! Now then, any thing human cant move that fast nor can it be that monooverable. I know you all think i'm stupid but i saw what i saw. 2 whites and 1 red lights moving around each other like it was easy, there arent fire fles near where i live so dont say that. and there wernt any planes around ether. The universe is just to big for there not to be life, and life that could so far ahead in technology it would be so danm... no words to explain it.
But if people thin k there is no life out there then they are all just a buch of dumb fucks >:C You guys need to open your mind to this sort of stuff, if we came o be on this planet then why not others?

Yeah, of course I believe there is life outside our planet, but, due to the far away solar systems, I doubt we'll ever actually see them.

They say the universe is infinite. In that case, there is a 100% chance of life elsewhere. With all the universe we not explored, why wouldn't there be another planet in the same situation as us with a star it revolves around? I think its ignorant to think that there isn't any intelligent life anywhere.

I am 100 percent certain there is life out there somewhere. How advanced it is, and whether or not it can see us (or has seen us), I have no idea. But some of these sightings are just a little too out of the ordinary.

Unless they've been around for much longer than us, and they have the capacity to come to us.
I doubt that, though. While I'm 99.999999% positive we'll never come into contact with alien life in our lifetimes, I'm sure that it's bound to happen someday, especially considering how fast our technology advances.
Although actually, I read an interesting newspaper article that essentially said that our chances of being "found" by aliens are getting much slimmer. What's to blame? Satellite TV, among other things. Media distribution through satellites and digital cable and the Internet and such are highly efficient processes, unlike old-timey radio and television, which sent waves and signals and transmissions and the like all over space in the general area of the planet. So really, it's like Earth is now in stealth mode. We probably had a better chance of alien contact 50 years ago than we do now, which is kind of weird if you think about it.
Also, I read somewhere that NASA beamed a transmission of the Beatles' "Across the Universe" into space. I think the kitschy symbolism would be lost on our future friends/invaders.

Now your thinking inside the box. Life evolvs accoring to he planets enviroment, life can evolve on a planet that would be extreamly hostile to use humans. Able to live through extream heat/cold. morfing in a sertian way to get to high places. Not every all life is based on Earth, Maybe on other planet plants release deadly oxens to us but the stuff aliend need to live, eg: an alien able to breath carbonmonoxide and not die.

Well, there HAS to be life on other planets but we would never be able to visit them and they would never be able to visit us cause when you say as close as a few stars away, well the closest star to us (besides the sun of course) is 5 light years away Einstien already prooved that its impossible to go faster then the speed of light, so lets say they were really advanced and they could go at the speed of light, it would take em 5 years to get here, i dont think an alien would want to spend 5 years of their life to visit an alien planet, also the chances of a planet with life being that close is slim to none because, to optain life on a planet, everything has to be perfect, a star has to be at the right size and at the right distance away, comets holding frozen water have to land on the planet, it has to be the right mass, so ya , you get my point

ok well this is how i think of it so here we are on earth weve been on countless intergalactic explorations did we find life NO! so chances are they live in the andromeda galaxy or something which is like 2000000000000000 light years away or even farther besides all you nerds out there know that scients tried to contact aliens by sending them radio signals then they discovered a problem it takes the radio waves 2000000 years to reach them (seriously) and oh yeah well die by then and if there so advanced why would they be interested in our puny primitive civilization anyway

What if alien life does exist? But we can't see them, can't touch them, can't smell them or can't hear them? What if it's the same for them?

I think aliens are real and they have visited this planet. All the reports people have made, from the sky and the ground. The government can only say weather balloon or swamp gas so many times.
I mean Roswell was never probably explained was it? And of course that incident in Shag Harbour (im not making that up..google ufo shag harbour) There are too many situations that cant be explained. For some reason UFOs have been in the papers quite a bit recently, bout people coming forward with sightings n pictures.
I think they are real and the government are TRYING (but failing) to keep it hidden from us

You wasted much of that time, I'm 100% sure most NGers won't read that post, the reason it's 100% is because I have proof.
