All I usually need is time...but it never seems to be around :(
My apparatus usually includes...
1.) Good music. Generally a mix of classic/modern rock songs.
2.) IM. Gotta love procrastination by talking to friends.
3.) Laptop. I've tried coding at a desk, and it just doesn't work for me. I've got to move if I want to.

- Ambience (could be music, could be 'outside sounds'... something nice and not distracting)
- Drink! Water (day) or tea (night). Or anything without alcohol in it. Cracking open a cold one just puts me in movie mood. ;-)
- Pad of paper and a pen to do some mind mapping. Although MindNode seems to be a useful alternative to jotting things down on paper. Not easily lost either.
- The coding tool I'm using at that moment. TextWrangler handles the web programming pretty nicely.

Alot of you seem to like having an online/computer based reference. However, I find that having a paper reference book helps me more. It's something about the tactual interaction with something, and not having to wait for stuff to load. : \

Irn Bru is about the only thing I need really, I'm worryingly addicted to the stuff. I should go full-on nerdy and buy one of them USB fridges to keep it cool.
mmm, iron flavoured.

Books! Yep, that's what I forgot. Usually I'll consult a book before I go online for reference material - it helps me to learn and also gives me a break from the screen. :-)
