I don't code that much, but,
whenever i'm programming something,
i always need one of the following;
1. A GIANT glass of Sunny Delight
2. A Corndog :]
3. Cold Pizza
4. Elevator Music
Elevator music.? What?
Well if i turn on music i listen to on a regular basis,
i usually end up not paying attention, and just singing in
unison with the song.
Elevator music keeps things going at a steady pace,
but its nothing i'd get up and rock out to.
Perfection XD
Anything you need in particular?

I don't need much:
1. Music (hard rock, mostly)
2. A computer
3. Notepad ++
4. A real server / wamp
5. Milk / water / coke / redbull. Any drink will do.

food or drink near my computer.
i'm no fatass
[high metabolism]
but i cant do anything
brain-oriented on the computer
without some good food.
i'm just glad i exercise lol.

techno/rave/DnB music
Cold room, hate the heat.

Motivation and Coffee.
One out of two isn't bad I guess; 's very nice coffee.

Computer
Glasses
Water
Music (nothing too upbeat but must have a good beat e.g. Mobb Deep - The Infamous)
A decent IDE
And NO DISTRACTIONS (e.g. I should be coding right now but the internet is a distraction so I'm not, also I don't really feel like it)

the following is a must have before I can even think about programming:
2 pounds of freshly steamed salmon
1 abacus
Any song by Johann Sebastian Bach
3 jumbo condoms
1 glass of water
programming miracles will happen with this lethal combination.

I dont need anything except the obvious things like a computer and test enviroment.
Everything else is just nice to have and makes the job easier / comfortable.

A keyboard with a big delete key (not backspace, that can be normal size) with a standard layout. it absolutely must have a proper num-pad, i cannot stand labtop layouts! And a good mouse, i hate navigating code solely with keys (evil labtop experiances again)
Anything extra is unnecesary, but a few nice additions is any music i enjoy listening to, and something to distract me from actually doing any work ;)

What I need:
1) Small pad of paper and pencil to brainstorm design ideas.
2) A few bottles of beer.
3) Logitech keyboard and mouse.
4) A Mac with TextWrangler, Fireworks, Firefox, and Google.
5) Some metalcore/death metal (depends on mood).
6) An AIM client open to provide that necessary distraction every once in a while.
7) A punching bag to relieve stress.

Get a proper laptop then. That's why I don't want anything under 17", they don't have a decent keyboard.

To add to my list, I've recently discovered it's handy to have my duvet.
I've been coding now for a good seven hours and have been slightly or fully covered in it for a good part of that.
It gives me warmth, and apparently motivation.

I find if I have coffee stuff goes a lot smoother.
But other wise I just need a decent editor. (Vim anyone?)

A good text editor is definitely a necessity. I prefer TextWrangler for Mac, and Notepad++ when I'm on Windows.

Give me a 24 pack of Vault and 2 hours and I'll give you the best 50 line code ever conceived.
Not really; I'm not that bad at coding :P. But yeah:
24 pack o' Vault
TV off
Couch/Recliner
Light
Any music with a fast tempo
If no music, then I just listen to like the crickets and animals outside, until those damn birds come by and won't shut the hell up, then I have to go outside with a gun/ fireworks.
