Yeah. That was a pretty common reaction to most of my posts on a usenet newsgroup I used to be the top poster of...
They even named the disorder that causes such double entendre interpreting perviness after me. GFS = GFoxSyndrome.
I kinda miss those pervy, 9/10 posts is sexual in some way days.... but I was a strapping young 20-23 year old then... not the 26 year old ancient man you see before you now. Ah well.

Then what's stopping you? leaving the internet isn't a BAD thing. And those you want to keep around you (ME DAMMIT OR I KICK YOU), theres ways of keeping in touch.
You can always take it out on me. :D I'm resilient!

I'm not going to hate on anyone, I'm just going to use this as my own little "Bitch about your life" thread.
If anyone has any problems, post them here, it will be a piteous thread....

S'alright, hon. I totally understand.
It's the 'landmark birthday' hump, probably. Lots of people do it when they turn 18. They're all of a sudden 'adults' and yet...sometimes they don't feel like they've done anything worthy of being -called- an adult for. I know that's how I felt. Maybe it's something like that with you? I dunno.
I'll pray for you a lot tonight, and you'll be my focus. Emotional isn't bad. Just remember that things will -always- get better, Dave. Always.
With that, I gotta sleep. If I could, I'd give you the biggest hug in the world.
Job interview tomorrow. :)

Yeah Cindy, that's exactly it.
My life, all 18 years of it, is basically the same old B.S. and it labels me as an unsuccessful person, who hasn't had a good 'teenage' years. They are suppose to be the best years of your life....yet, mine were lacking something...

I know how ya feel, but don't worry what they say is wrong, the teen years suck, life usally gets better after high school... unless you go to college that is just like high school, I've been there and done that

Okay, I have NO clue when you'll see this, since it's like...7:30 am and you might not see it til later...hopefully you'll check it.
Sorry, gonna babble.
Seriously, everyone tells you that your teenage years are the best, and they're not. Take it from someone who turned 18 close to ten years ago. Being in a funk about age is so totally normal...hell. I'm dreading 30 like it's the fucking plague or leprosy and it's going ot rot my flesh off. But in all honesty, almost everyone will feel like that, whether it's at 18, 20, 25, whatever age it hits them that there's -things- and -stuff- and -life- they haven't lived, and their mortality hits them.
But looking back? My teenage years rocked. I did SHIT with them, except hang out with my friends and school and stuff. I mean, that's what being a kid is about, right? Doing nothing. There's NO such thing as 'wasted teenage years', because that's what you're supposed to do with them. Be lazy, be a kid, TRY to learn how to grow up but HATE doing it...it's all the same for everyone. Except the fuckers that start charities at 11 and become doctors at 14. They suck.
I've babbled enough. In a nutshell: don't mourn being lazy during years that are MEANT for laziness and fun.
My tea is done! Have a good morning. :D

Thanks Cindy, I really do appreciate that.

You know what it -could- be? Seasonal depression. It's starting to get darker earlier, colder, weirder, it's closing in on Christmas...all sorts of stuff. I know I have to seriously watch my moods during the winter months or they start getting more and more negative and 'blah'ish.
A couple tips: when it's sunny outside, go for a walk or something, soak up the sun. The vitamin D will help you feel better physically and mentally. Also, be sure that your room/house is well lit, so you're not in the dark. Dark brings moods down.
Oh, right. And come down here and party. That'd cheer you up! :D

Hey Dobio, I realize you and I may not see eye-to-eye... but I'll try to help out...
I felt a little the same way as you do, not too long ago. It was like... I'm 18... I can't be 18, I'm not an adult. One of the things I've learned is it doesn't really matter. Like House_of_Leaves said, there really isn't anything wasted in your teen years, that's what they're there for. My way of getting around the "blah" was to just keep doing what I've always done... I mean, what was I expecting? To turn into some kind of social/physical/whatever butterfly? (although that could be interesting) There isn't really anything you can do about what you have or haven't done with your life or "the blah". Just live. Enjoy what you've always enjoyed. I mean you don't have to suddenly change because you've "come of age".
If sunlight helps, you can visit me in Florida. It's still 90 and sunny (that's 32 C for us metric people). The other thing you might be able to do is take advantage of your new "freedoms" you've gained from turning 18... that and look forward to the next big one... the wonderful 21 (at least I'm looking forward to it). Hope it helps my Canadian friend.
It's been a while... I play somewhere else now.

You know, it was funny.
I was talking to Brittany (Nephthys) about this shit last night, and she's like, "Why would you post this on Newgrounds, and open yourself up to attack when you reveal your problems to them?"
And I just said, "They are my peers...and if anyone starts shit, I can handle it...heh"
Thanks folks, you've all given sound advice, it's always nice to have people who 'care', regardless of how past behaviours have affected them...

Dave, I still less-than-three you.
You know it.
*grin*
Portland isn't sunny. It's rainy as hell. But I'm sunny! And bright!
And very zen right now. Or hyper. Is it possible to be both?
Oh...and to the 'pee with your whatever' comment...uh...yeah. That wasn't even worth the effort of typing out, simply because it made no sense whatsoever.
