Hey just curious how many of you people out there are guitar players (or bass players) and what types of set-ups do you use....

(I'm using a Gibson SG through a Marshall DSL 100/1960 Cab)

Plus various effects... Metal Muff, Delay, Overdrive pedal

I am jealous of your setup. I've always wanted a Gibson SG with a tube Marshall. :'(

I have a Fender Highway One HSS and a Roland Cube 30X right now. There's this used Marshall tube (DSL401) and it's only like 500 dollars. I wish I had the money.

NG's Useless One Liner-er (just kidding Evark, don't ban me :S)

Meh, Marshalls are all hype. They aren't that spectacular. I'd take a Hi Watt Stack anyday over a Marshall Stack.

I got a Yamaha EG112. It's black.

I don't know much about it, but I try to play and tune it regularly.

Please, Hiwatts are better over all especially live, I mean better clarity and mindblowing clean & distortion channel plus it can take the higher volumes as you mentioned. The Hiwatt costs more for a good reason.

I play some P.O.S. Strat knockoff.

But, I'm getting my Les Paul soon. So, hooray.

How can one sleep with a raging amplifier?

Response to Guitar Players 2008-06-03 23:34:51

Usually my trusty Ozark acoustic.

On occasion I play my Squire Telecaster.

Response to Guitar Players 2008-06-03 23:39:23

Gibson Epiphone EL00 Small-Body Acoustic Guitar.
basic guitar but I like it.

It seems like I keep telling Newgrounds this about once a week...

I play a Fender Mex Stratocaster with a Crate Amp, a Zoom effects petal and a Crybaby wah. I also have a Soundgear Ibanez bass with a little Peavy amp. I have a full size Casio keyboard and a Pearl Master Series drum kit.

Gibson Epiphone (les paul body with goth finish [black, non-glossy or reflective w/e, greek cross on guitar head, roman numeral XII on 12th fret]) going through a Fender amp. I just have an effects pedal with multiple choices.

Yeah. But, it's not what equipment you have, it's what's in your head. A person may have the best amplifier in the world but at the same time, can't play worth the shit. Now, I'm actually selling my Bernie Rico Jr. Vixen Bolt On (EMG). Similar to the one that Gary Holt (Exodus) uses. I airbrushed the cover art to "Cause Of Death" by Obituary on mine. The bridge pick ups I use are by Seymour Duncan. I currently do not own any more pedals at the moment. I also use a PreSonus BlueTube DP Stereo Dual Path Microphone/Instrument Preamp With 12AX7 Tube.

Haha me too. I tried guitar for 4 months and learned some basic chordes. Then I picked up GH and I was like "Yeah I can play Slayer!!"

I'm so cool
