Time For A Second Job

After almost 2 month & still dealing with my illness, I got a second job. All the medicial bills are rolling in & a week hospital stay cost the same amount as a small car ($13,876 & that's with insurance). Not to mentioned I maxed out a retail credit card for all the medicine I am on.

So an old friend at Carnival Cruise lines had been trying to get ahold of me. So I asked if they were hiring for weekends & most holidays that I might have off from the county. She said yes so I sign my paperwork tomorrow. I will now be working 7 days a week.

Yay me.

I was put on Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) & had used up all my vacation & sick time. This week I will not be getting a pay check which hurts. I still am employed with the courts, but need a second job to make ends meet.

Sepsis, which is a bacteria that forms in the blood & can cause major organs to shut down. It was the pharamacy part of the hospital stay that hurt. The IV antibotics that I was on cost $1,000 a bag.

Thats good, I thought you were fired for being unable to work or something but at least when you get better you can return and get the money for all the bills etc. It is good to see you posting again as well ; )

The only time I was on painkillers was when I was in the hospital & the IVs were inflaming my veins from being in there so long. My arm swelled up like a balloon.

I used to work for a temp service that sent me to the cruise lines to work weekends. They wanted to buy my contract from them, but the temp service wanted $800 for my release. The higher ups would not approve that purchase.

I left college to help my family & just for the fact that working two jobs then going to school killed me. So I opted for a high paying job in lieu of school.

Damn... well Canada has its advantages I gues... 13K a week wow that seems a tad much, my grandmother was in the hopital (knee replacement) for about a week and half and we paid I believe it was 5 bucks for painkillers
