Well, we all know you have to take peoples original ideas, play with them a bit, and then you can make something of yourself. These days, its hard not to, considering nearly every original idea has been thought of. Simpsons Did It, Simpsons Did It.
So, whats your opinion on the Game that had to copy everyone else to try have its moment in the spotlight?
My One: I liked the game, but I thought it was too much like GTA. Saints Row, It was too similar to not notice anything. So Thats my pick for the biggest copy-cat game :)

50 Cent: Bulletproof.
Tried to be Max Payne, Dead to Rights, True Crime: NYC, Grand Theft Auto 3 all rolled into one, but turned out to be the worst thing to ever hit gaming.

I agree. It tried to be things it wasnt able to be. What made it worse, is it made 50 cent come across as if he was Superman? And all the enemies where the same pretty much. Aww, can't win them all can ya.

Jade Empire wishes it was Knights Of The Old Republic so much, you can almost see lasers.
This too will pass.

Resistance kind of ripped off the Halo series in some game play ways, but somehow I love Resistance and dislike Halo 3.
Maybe they just took the good parts. :P

Considering they're made by the same company, it's not really much of a surprise they're similar.
This too will pass.

True I am, but I still allow myself to enjoy games on the 360. I like Gears, Dead Rising and another one I can't think of right now. I also enjoyed the earlier Halos, though I have to admit I haven't played story on number 3 and am basing my dislike on the multiplayer.

Yeah, but that hardly counts, since they're both made by BioWare.
Anyway, the highest dishonor, by default, has to go to Olympic Hockey Nagano '98.

I really enjoyed Saints Row... I may even like it better the GTAIV. It had everything all the GTA games had, and more. In fact, GTAIV had to do some catch-up work on Saints Row... and Saints Row still has features GTA doesn't offer. I'm excited for the sequal. I haven't seen any previews yet... but I did see "Saints Row 2" written on the mat of a Cage Fighting match the other night.
Back on topic, I agree, it was a pretty big CopyCat.

I agree. It was good, but playing it just made you think of GTA, GTA, and more GTA. I've only played GTAIV once, and it wasnt for too long, so I'm not sure how they really stack up with each other. But GTAIV didnt seem amazing in my eyes.
But as I said before, If GTA had taken an idea like a free roam gang game, someone is gonna copy, its almost impossible not to?
