Video games used to just be electronic toys for fun. Now we have emotional and action-packed storylines, orchestrated music, lifelike graphics and fully innovative gameplay.

What would it be like if it was just Atari?

If it was just Atari there would be no Video Game industry today as of it would already be dead.

So production value should be frowned upon? That's like saying Hollywood should only use disposable touristy cameras.

Video Games are a form of entertainment like a book or a movie. The more engrossed you are, the better. Current generation games make that much more possible than the likes of Atari games which were fun but really weren't all that great and didn't have much replay value.

Well, as the times advance, so does everything else. Sure Atari would be the original electronic toy, but then someone would want to improve upon that, so they added better graphics. Next, someone wanted a story, so videogames were given stories. The Atari you know is either died or few, this generation of Video games is not the old, but an entire new generations filled with shooters, racers, fighters, role-players, and so on. Humans evolve, technology evolves, everything evolves.

If I could name one person I respect.........it probably would be me. oh and the guy who lives here

Simpler arcade style video games would be cool and all, but they were outdated and dull by the 80's. I can't imagine what the game industry would be without home consoles. It certainly wouldn't be as big, or cool, and there'd be a lot fewer players.

Believe in the lie.
