Also i tell him i prefer the PS3 exclusives already out and coming this year. So that doesnt enter the equation.

(For the under 16 people)The FanBoy rage is mainly because Your Mom is only willing to buy one of the 3 consoles, and if it's the wrong one, you just turn into a FanBoy and refuse to admit fault, works pretty much the same way for every console.

As for the people who are 16+ and have their own jobs, it all comes down to personal choice.

Wii: cheapest, good for kids but exhausting for adults
Xbox 360: all rounder that bricks itself every 2 months
PS3: Big and powerful but bloody expensive

But if you do want my choice im going for the 360, even if it does brick itself, I get a month on live whenever it does as Microsoft increased the warranty.

But you can't stop the FanBoy's, and you never will so don't try.
Also I think the Wii FanBoys are worst of the three never mind the Xbox or PS3.

All consoles have their good and weak points.

Wii:
-1st party games are second to none, amazing concept.
-EA uses it as their personal toilet when it comes to their minigame collections.

Xbox360:
-Great online play, some great FPS's.
-Poor craftsmanship means pieces on the inside will break. Ugh.

Playstation 3:
-Beautiful graphics, some great and obscure games to look forward to.
-Not a whole lot of exclusives, and is expensive, though both those problems seem to be getting better.

Online play is in fact better on the PS3. Personal experience.
