I've been wondering about the bandwidth a while now and I've realized it's not like I've done anything to help. Sorry for all the complaints!

But seriously, you need to call the bandwidth people and ask them what's up because whenever you tell us about a bandwidth upgrade, something happens on their end that delays it for weeks and months.

Oh and thanks for the warning on a hectic month coming up.

Yeah, it figures that the one time I worked more than a couple of weeks on a project, and I'm really exited to put it on Newgrounds, I don't get the satisfaction of seeing it on the daily top five until that evening. My luck sucks, but hey, I still love this site.

They've been there a bit too long; especially in regard to some of the kick ass shit that has been streaming in through the Portal lately.

It sure is taking long enough for this upgrade but patients leads to virtue, I'm sure once the upgrade is done, Newgrounds will be 100X better than usual.

Well I was viewing this post and I saw a few people saying things like "Get on with the damn bandwidth upgrade" and such things. To these people I have two things to say:

-First of all, Tom OWES YOU ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Indeed, I don't think any of you idiots did anything worthy of being allowed to criticize him.

-Then, I'd like to see you in his place, with whatever things he has to worry about. Even if he's generous and stuff and "offers" us Newgrounds, he actually has a life.

To conclude, all this can be summarized in four simple letters: STFU.

Why are the servers in NYC, and are you sure the server wont be down for that long while they are being moved?

- Essentially the process is to look on the Top 50 (ususally for the first few entries) and vote on a few of those. You'll know if they are eligible for a BLAM or PROTECTION point in 2 ways: If you hover you mouse on over the link to the entry in question, the small box that appears displaying info on the entry will say a score of ?. I've been a coming to NG for several years now, just recently signed up for an account, and have spent my first month with all most no PROTECTION or BLAM points, because I didn't see the FAQ either. Supposedly, only the first 100 votes are eligible for BLAM and PROTECTION points, but I swear I've seen movies with more votes that tell me I'll get point if they are blammed or saved.

-As far as bandwith is concerned, I don't see the problem. Has the hosting company been having problems? Hooking up a few extra PC's (or mirrion site content, or whatever) wouldn't be that hard, I think. Comments?

wouldn't it be cool if of course NG was a multi trillion dollar company if the NG site ran an OC3 connection, imagine how fast the movies in the prtal would be load, imagine have 155 MBPS to burn, of course again NG would also need a HUGE storage system. NG would be the internet if it ran an OC3 connection and that would be bad ass.
