Let us wed. And live forever under the moon.
Most of you are idiots, that is all.
I played NGR and watched Waterlollies.
They're both rather impressive.
((Though Sonny does and did rock my socks off.))
Waterlollies was boring eye-candy, And NG Rumble was a bland brawler.
Wee, I wonder how they both won. Congrats anyway to the winners, don't want to be a downer.

Anyway people who say that adam shouldnt even be allowed is kinda dumb... that would just go against the whole 'everything by everyone' mantra that the site is known for... may as well close the portal off to select people. Meh i think that despite waterlollies takin the tank, its an amazing feat that movies like metropolis circuit, aladdin, or stranger forest can go toe to toe with the professional circuit... regardless of what the outcome was this time i think that all those nominees probably walk away holding their head up. Matter of fact i think that its mostly the armchair quaterbacks of the site that are like super outragged about it.I'm sorry, Luis, but I have to disagree. Some of these artists won't get second chances. Like I have said. Many of us do not have jobs and went to college to learn animation skills, and those who made entries this year may never have another good chance. I don't see how anyone could make it seem fair, and don't give me the "everything by everyone" We wouldn't've been denying him from posting his movies, he could always do that. I just think that an award like that would mean much more to someone like us, who just do this for fun, and get appreciated for putting some hard work into it. I doubt a ridiculously large metal trinket is really going to inspire Mr. Phillips as much as it would one of us.
This is meaning no disrespect to Mr. Phillips, I enjoy his movies wholeheartedly, and I expect to enjoy them because he's had that much more experience and practice to give us good quality flash.
Your logic is just incredibly silly. If NG was to carry out what you are talking about, it would have to research everyone of these authors backgrounds, abilities and education. Same for the programmers. Then based on that research you'd have to judge the authors. There was more than one author in the running who had been taught animation you know, not just Adam Phillips. Then high quality pieces would be left out of the running. Another thing, you talk about hobbyists as if Adam Phillips isn't one. You really can't continue to complain, there are plenty of ways for less skilled animators to achieve on this site, and they do achieve.
Stop bitching about Adam Phillips.
He went to school to learn animating, that you guys don't do that, that's your problem.
Adam worked so hard on his submissions, so of course he won an award. Maybe if you guys work so hard, it maybe will be better then his.
sup my man tom.
why did waterlollies win?
I watched half of that only because of Stamper's abusive review. and why do some people hate it? I mean, it was well animate, but....go figure, right?
bull shite, madness is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than waterlollies, or whatever the fuck its called.

Madness is just pointless killing with bad character models.

Both very overrated. I was expecting The Composer and The Last Stand to win.

Right, one last shot at this, because if Luis himself telling you guys to stop isn't working, why on Earth would you guys listen to me:
How many of you who wanted another movie / game / user to win, instead of the excelent winners produced, took the time to go to the user page or PM the author of said movie / game telling them that you were hoping they would win, that you were sad that didn't and that you hope they can win next year?
I did that (I did it before I even posted here a second time) to my favourites (Rienland and Dct Grimoire) because even though I belived them to be the best, I decided that instead of complaining and moaning about them not winning, I'd instead show support for the artist that I cherished! Which I feel helps them out much more, by showing how much I admired and cared for their flashes, then to complain in this thread, which acomplishes nothing except taking away the joy of the winnners and of those celebrating the awards in general.
Btw, I also congratulated the winners on their user pages.
Fun: THAT IS THE BENEFIT OF DIPLOMATIC IMUNITY!

I don't have bad taste, I just don't care much for Madness. yeah...Waterlollies was boring. Dad's home or Aladdin 3150 should have won. NG rumble? pffffffffttttt whatever.

I've said it before and I'll always say it: if it weren't for Newgrounds, my site would still be a relative unknown on a shared server and I'd probably still be working in a studio as 'talent-on-tap' churning out terrible sequels, like so many extremely talented people who deserve better.
Now I'm working from home, and while the money isn't as good as a full-time job, I make enough in AdSense to pay for a dedicated host, which makes my site almost self-sufficient. This gives me time to work on my personal projects including a Brackenwood feature film which I'm no co-writing with a close ex-Disney colleague in Los Angeles. Quite simply, none of this would be happening if it weren't for Newgrounds. I've got NG to thank for it all.
I'm completely gob-smacked.
Hey, my name is Tyler Moyer, I am 16 and new to Flash Animations.
I am teaching myself how to use Flash and how to work animations. I am in my last project for 3D animation class in school as a sophomore right now.
I love your work and I would be honored if you'd be the person I used for my interveiw project.
Would you be interested at all? It'll take at least 5 - 10 minutes of your time to read and answer my questions.
Tankmen Infinity should have taken top spot.

Great pics, some of my definate favourites. Great job.
