I'm sorry, Luis, but I have to disagree. Some of these artists won't get second chances. Like I have said. Many of us do not have jobs and went to college to learn animation skills, and those who made entries this year may never have another good chance. I don't see how anyone could make it seem fair, and don't give me the "everything by everyone" We wouldn't've been denying him from posting his movies, he could always do that. I just think that an award like that would mean much more to someone like us, who just do this for fun, and get appreciated for putting some hard work into it. I doubt a ridiculously large metal trinket is really going to inspire Mr. Phillips as much as it would one of us.

This is meaning no disrespect to Mr. Phillips, I enjoy his movies wholeheartedly, and I expect to enjoy them because he's had that much more experience and practice to give us good quality flash.

They're both rather impressive.

Waterlollies was boring eye-candy, And NG Rumble was a bland brawler.

Your logic is just incredibly silly. If NG was to carry out what you are talking about, it would have to research everyone of these authors backgrounds, abilities and education. Same for the programmers. Then based on that research you'd have to judge the authors. There was more than one author in the running who had been taught animation you know, not just Adam Phillips. Then high quality pieces would be left out of the running. Another thing, you talk about hobbyists as if Adam Phillips isn't one. You really can't continue to complain, there are plenty of ways for less skilled animators to achieve on this site, and they do achieve.

He went to school to learn animating, that you guys don't do that, that's your problem.
Adam worked so hard on his submissions, so of course he won an award. Maybe if you guys work so hard, it maybe will be better then his.

How many of you who wanted another movie / game / user to win, instead of the excelent winners produced, took the time to go to the user page or PM the author of said movie / game telling them that you were hoping they would win, that you were sad that didn't and that you hope they can win next year?

I did that (I did it before I even posted here a second time) to my favourites (Rienland and Dct Grimoire) because even though I belived them to be the best, I decided that instead of complaining and moaning about them not winning, I'd instead show support for the artist that I cherished! Which I feel helps them out much more, by showing how much I admired and cared for their flashes, then to complain in this thread, which acomplishes nothing except taking away the joy of the winnners and of those celebrating the awards in general.

Btw, I also congratulated the winners on their user pages.
