I think that the two winners were fairly obvious choices... not in a bad way, but more in the way that they excelled the furthest. Massive congratulations.
Also, congrats to Luis. Don't really speak to the guy, but from what I've heard he's awesome, and it definitely sounds to me like he deserves user of the year for '07.
Loving the winners layout, too. :)
Silly Formula 1 Grand Prix at Montreal makes me miss the NG Big Apple Con next week-end... Grrr >:[
Working for the loss. Oh well, at least I guess the money will be invested in going to London in August :D
Congrats to Adam. It's well deserved. Since I became a Flash animator way back when I joined this site, he's been the best flash artist here. His work demands respect. Again, congrats, and I look forward to the day when I can watch a Bitey movie in theaters.
Congratulations to the winners and especially to my friend Luis!
Also, see you next weekend Tom. I really think you should reconsider allowing me to line us up with a smokin' hot booth bitch. That would ramp up traffic at the booth exponentially in my opinion man. And please make sure MC brings P-BOT!!! He's got to be there man, haha.

I have to say, I'm sadly disappointed with what it turns out these are.

Hmm, maybe I'll go. I'd really rather not go to a comic con thing though, too many freaky anime people, and I'd be paying $15 just to see you guys, hmm, I dunno.
Grats to all the winners.
Some great music.

He deserved it, his music was really inspiring to me.
YAY 4 NG TANK AWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, I am NOT implying anything.
Im so happy that waterlollies won. NG rumble not so much. But Newgrounds staff and adinistrators please, please can we get some Newgrounds games on the PSN? That would be awesome.
Worthy winners, for sure (Waterlollies, in particular, I'm not such a fan of Rumble, but it's a great technical achievement nether-the-less). But could we get a little more info on how the vote went? I'm extremely curious if the winners were immediate, or if the votes had to be recounted and which submissions came closest to second, third... and which submissions were cut-off, if there was more than one round of vote counting.
I'm not very hopeful, but is there any chance of you letting us know more, even if not every single detail (such as who voted on which flash), Tom?
Fun: THAT IS THE BENEFIT OF DIPLOMATIC IMUNITY!
To think about the world, click cat.
The links in the banners are doing my head in. When I middle click with the mouse to bring the little scrolling thing up, I keep opening Waterlollies. I tried adblocking the image, but the link stays there.
I had an idea when you mentioned the black tie event plan... There should be a lot more categories for different types of awards. For example, best horror cartoon, best music video, etc. And the same for games and music. If you separated everything into different categories like that then there'd be a whole lot more contestants and you could hold a larger black tie event. I personally really like that idea, but again, it's just an idea... Congrats to everyone who won this first one!
Well ill be damned. Thank you and congrats to everyone... even the nominees. I think shit like this is a true testament to the amount of talent that this site attracts and its actually quite exciting if you think about it.
As for the user of the year, well its kind of a surreal thing really. I'm not really even sure I can throw the proper words for how it feels without being totally cheesy about it... but its like reallllllly an honor to not only win but be a hardcore advocate of the newgrounds 'lifestyle'
Maybe i've gotten old or something but over the years its actually become more rewarding (to me) to be that catalyst to the aspiring artist / programmer... im motivated by the profound potential alot of people here have... i like to think that one day the Ansels,ShirtTurtle's, Yotam's of the world will show the rest of the world out there something really epic and to have been around back in the humble beginnings of things and say ahh yea i knew that guy or ahh yea i remember we worked on something way back in 200x, it is exciting quite frankly. Anywho thats my shpiel... id like to thank the academy yada yada yadaaa...
Awesome Choices although I have a feeling that Luis might also get User of 2008 too and 2009 and 2010...etc
Well congratulations to everyone.
Not my first pick of winners, but still very good.
I'd rather Dad's At Work or Impossible Quiz.
Regardless, great job!

I love Yoko Matsugane. (And asian women in general.)
