I just wanted to chime in and say congrats to all the winners... truly great stuff guys! Also, a big thanks again for nominating our game... it's pretty rad just being in such fine company with the other nominees!

(I still want one of those badass trophies though! ;) )

I've said it before and I'll always say it: if it weren't for Newgrounds, my site would still be a relative unknown on a shared server and I'd probably still be working in a studio as 'talent-on-tap' churning out terrible sequels, like so many extremely talented people who deserve better.

Now I'm working from home, and while the money isn't as good as a full-time job, I make enough in AdSense to pay for a dedicated host, which makes my site almost self-sufficient. This gives me time to work on my personal projects including a Brackenwood feature film which I'm no co-writing with a close ex-Disney colleague in Los Angeles. Quite simply, none of this would be happening if it weren't for Newgrounds. I've got NG to thank for it all.

I'm completely gob-smacked.

Hey, my name is Tyler Moyer, I am 16 and new to Flash Animations.

I am teaching myself how to use Flash and how to work animations. I am in my last project for 3D animation class in school as a sophomore right now.

yall still bitchin about things in here? How about something more constructive. How would you tweak the judging process for next years awards? Would you want a mass vote? Maybe it could be kind of like the US does its voting with delegates and shit, where people vote for someone to represent their vote?

I think something that would be cool is to have one of the judges' ballots be a mass vote. Like during the nomitation period have people vote on their favorite game/movie and a single ballot would be created based on that. So you'd have your panel of judges and then youd have the peoples choice ballot. Also it would be cool if as a result of winning this year those people werent eligible to win in the same category the next year. (But could the year after that maybe?)

I think its a deep honor to win these things and I'd want other people to savor in that. :)

I would give anything to know how to make the quality of graphics in waterlollies. I did think the brackenwood series was kind of boring, but the graphics are just....

OMG! Excuse me for being a little controversial, but how can such a dissapointing flash be voted the very best of 2007?! Surely you guys on the panel must have seen the wow factor of Adam Phillips' earlier works on the Bitey of Brackenwood series. This hasn't delivered anything new or amazing to me, as Bitey was so far ahead of its time, but for me, the time has caught up with this series and we haven't seen anything new, or innovative, when we consider the large amount of time spent between episodes.

As you can probably tell, I wouldn't have ranked this in the top half of the rankings, as my favourite for this award would have been What is Love, Blockhead Ghostmas or Madness Consternation.

Face it Tom, if you re-released Pico, with the same graphics but a new plotline, the only reason it would be voted so high would be because of your name being attached to it. I like Phillips' work, but it seems that there have been some fanboys of his creeping into the judging panel.

Your argument goes out the window when you say a Madness movie should have won. You say that Waterlollies is nothing new, but the Madness series has been the exact same thing since the beginning (been going on for a few years now). I mean, its great for what it is, but it isn't anything new.

I did, Munglai is a respected Clock on the Crew, so I gave him a lot of support, I was disappointed his masterpiece was denied the win, and that's why I came here.
