hey, I was wondering, to stop double posting in BBS, could you guys add an edit button so you could edit your posts. also, could you guys have a IMG BBCode, so it's easier to put up pictures?

No edit button, never will happen. People will abuse it.

Jpeg, gif not easy enough? In any event, use a dump site for pics if prefer different format.

What he said. Plus, it's not like as if double posting is a crime. It just happens from time to time that you forget to add something important to your post (even if you've double checked it), so you just wait a few minutes and post again.

It's worse when people post the same thing twice, rather than adding something new underneath. I only view double posting as a crime when it's someone like Dream-of-Duke, giving us the constant updates on the Red Sox games in the major league baseball thread. Once per game should be sufficient.

It just happens from time to time that you forget to add something important to your post (even if you've double checked it), so you just wait a few minutes and post again.

If we couldn't double post, how would the lists get updated? Myself and Bahamut would be righteously screwed :P

I'm guessing that this one would be somewhat superfluous seeing as it's not going to make a massive difference as to where the picture in located within the post. After all, if worst comes to the worst, then you could simply say "As shown in the picture below ...", which would negate the need for any such movable pictures.

That's the thing. They'll edit it so they can't be banned. They'll make a rule-breaking post, edit it and when they get banned they'll accuse the mods of false banning.

If you need to put a pic in the middle of your ramblings... then you post a buncha text, put a picture at the bottom of that single post....

AND THEN PUT THE REST OF THE TEXT IN A SECOND POST.

Then, your picture will be in between the top half of your text and the bottom half of your text, and you'll have posted twice instead of once.

Just another great use for what you foolios call "doubleposting!"

(which IMO is only when you accidentally or due to the site's fault post the same post twice)
