I see a lot of people on general who are posting there problems and just getting flamed or picked on.

Example: " Stop crying emo kid!"

So if you are somebody who has a problem and needs help through it, or just someone to talk to about it this is the place for you.

I won't be keeping a members list, to join all you have to do is help out a newgrounder who is having a problem.

I will make this bold so you can see. THIS IS NOT THE RELATIONSHIP CREW. If you have a relationship problem you can talk about it there.

Rules:

All BBS rules apply.
No flaming or picking on users for their problems.
No spamming, meaning please be serious. No making up fake problems.

If you have a very serious problem we might not be able to help. If you ever have such a problem where you are thinking about suicide or harming yourself in anyway you need to seek immediate professional help. In such a case you need to remember, that we are not professionals.

This is a club brought to you by the GS and Corky52.

Pretty cool idea man. I know what you're saying, you do see a lot of people with issues in the General forum that would be much better off not posting them there. I've known for years now not to post anything serious that I may have to say there, especially a personal issue nobody else in general would give a crap about. You might find 1 serious response out of 20. lol Anyway, good idea, I hope people who need it find this club and post here!

Yeah, it will probably take awhile for people to realize this is here, but if you guys ever see someone that posts in general about a problem and you see they are just getting flamed redirect them here.

No problems after the first night? That's good! The less problems the better, but I'm guessing that's not the reason nobody has asked for help here. I think it's just because it's not very well known yet.

Not sure if you need it, but I'd like to offer my services to this club. I intend to be a counselor someday, and I have been told that I do give good advise, plus the fact that I do enjoy helping people.

Good for people, bad for the thread.

but I'm guessing that's not the reason nobody has asked for help here. I think it's just because it's not very well known yet.

Everyone has problems, so I doubt that the thread starting off slow is due to a lack of problems... just pimp out the club a bit and people will eventually come here. I didn't even realize this was made until now, so... yanno. Most clubs start off fairly slow anyways.

Also, I might give some advice here every now and again if I see something that I can help out with. Depends how I feel I guess... sometimes I'm just not in the mood to deal with other people's problems, and sometimes I can empathize. See how I go.

Well I'm sure you will become a great counselor. I had a little bit of schooling for it in college, but decided to change my major to Elementary Education. I also was our high school counselor my junior and senior year. We had a program where a student would take care of the counseling instead of paying someone.

Maybe that is something you should find out yourself. One of those things that are going to be different in different cases. That shouldn't be to hard anyways.

Well you are welcome to help anytime you want, but doesn't look like we will need much help right now. I know we will sometime soon in the future.

I'm happy to offer my services to this thread. I like to think that I give good advice, and whenever anyone has a problem they know they can come to me. I hope I can seriously help someone one day.

This is an excellent idea for a thread. I'll definitely be stopping by to help.

Thanks. Nobody really knows about this thread yet, but I think eventually it will catch on. If you ever see something on general and see that it isn't getting worked out or the person is getting flamed redirect them here.

Great, now I'm fucked. I assume, as a counseling student, you know something about social development. Couldn't you give me a hint?

Well let's see. As a counseling student, I understand that to really learn something and understand it you have to do it by yourself. In matter affect that is exactly what counseling is. A person comes to you with a problem and you don't tell them how to solve it, but you help them think of ways how to solve it. Now the only hint I can give you is to go out and do it on your own. I think you will be surprised that it isn't too hard of an assignment. Just watch and find out.

Anyway, I changed my major to Elementary Education.

Ok I have a problem, I have a real problem that I know is comparitable to OCD, I have already been to the doc and he says I should just see how it goes because the medication you have to be over 16 to take. So my problem is, whenever I am going to bed I always have to do loads of precedures before turning of the light and going to sleep like - turning of and on the light 3 times, closing my curtain so it goes left part over right and other things, anyone know how I can get over this?

Also when ever I talk to girls I go uncontrolably bright red wich is probably why I have never had a girfriend.

So I guess you can try and help.

King regards -
Sirtom93.

I assume you mean *comparable* to OCD, which would suggest that it's not actual OCD?

So my problem is, whenever I am going to bed I always have to do loads of precedures before turning of the light and going to sleep like - turning of and on the light 3 times, closing my curtain so it goes left part over right and other things, anyone know how I can get over this?

So what happens if you DON'T do these things? Does it cause you actual distress? I used to be a bit obsessive about certain things like that, but I don't have OCD. I would find it hard to sleep if there was even the tiniest gap between my curtains, or something stupid like that, so I started sleeping with the curtains open. Maybe that would help you, maybe not.

What you have to remember is that these things are all a product of your own mind, and not actually based in reality.

Also when ever I talk to girls I go uncontrolably bright red wich is probably why I have never had a girfriend.

For that, go here. Talk to Vincoid, he's pretty cool about that stuff.

Yeah, do these things actually bother you? If not then I wouldn't worry about them.

I used to be a bit obsessive about certain things like that, but I don't have OCD. I would find it hard to sleep if there was even the tiniest gap between my curtains, or something stupid like that, so I started sleeping with the curtains open. Maybe that would help you, maybe not.

Good advice. Kind of like when you fear something and one of the only ways to get over your fear is to actually do it.

What you have to remember is that these things are all a product of your own mind, and not actually based in reality.

Be mentally strong. I think everyone has a case of OCD, but it is just how you handle it. Some people have it worse then other people.

Also when ever I talk to girls I go uncontrolably bright red wich is probably why I have never had a girfriend.
For that, go here. Talk to Vincoid, he's pretty cool about that stuff.

Yeah sorry. I would love to help you out with relationship stuff here, but I can't take away from the relationship club. They have been here for much longer then I have.

I believe in some ways we all have a little OCD. I know I can't have the volume on media devices on an odd number. It would just annoy me too much.. I believe you can talk to your doctor about it, and depending how severe the OCD may appear they can have you talk to an expert on it and see if it's something that can be talked out of you.

Also when ever I talk to girls I go uncontrolably bright red wich is probably why I have never had a girfriend.

Is this just with girls? Well I mean if you had to talk to a lot of people for school or something would you feel really shy about it and go red there too? If so, then it's your nerves. You're shy, I've never really had that problem so my advise will probably be useless, but I think just trying to speak up more, be louder, be almost bolder can affect how you ask with certain people.
