I thought the recent bout of knife crime in the UK (NB: there's a rash of stabbings in April-June every year) was down to the BBFC deciding it was OK to show knife fights in 15-rated films first and foremost, then GTA IV.
Pardon my flippancy, I just can't be bothered with the same old, same old topic today.

Try to spell at least decent, and use some kind of grammatics. I'm not saying I'm very good at it, just that it's hard to understand what you write.
Also, an eight year old shouldn't play games full of blood and gore. Regardless if it makes them killers or not, it's surely not a good thing.
Yeah i know my fuckin' grammatics... It's sucks:D Dude only i red this new from newspaper.

People with violent tendencies may do violent things based off of what they saw in video games. Luckily, those kinds of people are a minority.
Also, much of the fault of kid-gamer-turned-killers lies in the parents that are stupid enough to let their kid con them into buying them Grand Theft Auto. The ESRB, whose job is to put labels on a game to tell buyers what kind of content they have, are continually getting flak because of these dumbass parents.
When all else fails, blame the casuals!

the way i see it is. If you cant decipher a videogame from real life. then you just need to give up on life, i make harder realizations everyday then "hmm, its ok for me to kill a fake person in this box, so i wonder if i could kill a real dude in the real wold" if you have to ask yourself that, then just give up.

ou ever heard when you're in rage and you smash something you'll feel a lot better later? Just imagine the guy you're running over is your parents/sister/teacher/school bully.
You know what would be really neat? These things actually being noticeable.

Video games don't make kids killers, stupid kids with a bad grasp on reality and the understanding of good and evil makes killers.

No, shaggy, just say it.
Killer kids are all atheists and commit their acts because they don't love jesus.

When it comes down to reality I think it really depends on the age of the player (hence the age restrictions)
In Australia GTA 4 has been cut down and it is still MA 18+ and when I go over to my friends house and see his 5 year old brother playing GTA all day....
I think for kids who are 9 and below GTA (gore, killing, etc) is really not good for them because in they're eyes they then see that behavior as (socially?) acceptable.

It would be unwise and ignorant to state that video-games produce countless amount of child killers, but it would be wiser to state that under-aged children shouldn't have access to violent games, just as they shouldn't have access to pornography or weapons.
