I'm thinking of getting a video editing software other than the default Windows Movie Maker. I heard Final Cut Pro is the best of the best BUT it is only for Macintosh.

I have a lot of Adobe products and I'm thinking....WHAT THE HELL...let's get one of the Adobe video editing programs. The only problem is...I'm not sure which one of theirs is the best....they have so many...

I'm actually interested a lot in the Adobe ones because they may have transferability features like Photoshop does to Flash CS3 into Illustrator etc etc.

Avid is the industry standard for movie making, and is available for PC. Final Cut is almost as popular because it is cheaper, but has only been used in a handful of professional movies. Final Cut is more often used for shorter things like commercials and documentaries.

You'll need a fast pc otherwise frame rates get messed up.

I've noticed that as well. When you watch it back it looks all choppy, but I can usually make out what's going on.

What's the difference between Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 & Adobe Elements? They're both for editing movies right?
