I think my PS2 has had it's time...

When I turn the console on the browser screen comes up and the anolouge light on my controllers are both on but when I try to press a button on the menu nothing happens. I dunno if you want to here this but I feel like typing, so here's how it happened...
It all happened when I completed Metal Gear Solid 2 (I only just bought it) and went to go play MGS3: Snake Eater. I got up to the shed thing where the guy is at the start of the game and went to save it. It said I had no memory left so I restarted my console and opened the disc tray so I could clear some room on my memory card. All of a sudden my controller started to go crazy for like 1 second. Highlighting saved games even though I wasn't touching the buttons. Then it went back to the main browser by itself and thats where the problem started.

I am 99% sure that the controllers are not broken. And the PS2 does not suck, just because PS3 is out and it doesn't get any new games doesn't make it suck.

I like the way you say that as if I'm retarded when I am 100% sure its not my controllers. Here's why:
1. I have two controllers and I doubt they both fucked up at the same time.
2. I just realised that I can play games perfectly, but the browser screen goes fucking beserk and I don't wanna risk losing any saved data so I won't stay on the memory card section.

So if anyone has some help, or an explanation, I would be greatly appreciative.

Fuck you, the PS2 is the greatest game console of all time. And they do make games for it.

Sorry for the double post but you're absolutley correct. Playstation 2 is fucking revolutionary for gaming. It still has some top games and as a couple people have said games are still being made for it. Also it's actually 8000+ games.

Oh, how you are wrong. So, so wrong. I just borrowed one of my friends controllers and the same thing happened. And then we tested it on his PS2 and it worked perfectly. Oh, and you got pwnt.

Calm down, the PS2 was a good console, so was the Gamecube and the Xbox, they had their ups and downs. Anyway maybe you should phone the Sony Helpline or something similar?

Buy a PS3 and play some PS2 games on there.
You can also get some new playstaion games that way.
