MIDI's are just data, you cant change them into mp3's...

MIDI is not audible...MIDI is just note date. You need some sort of machine to have the note data sent to. What you're hearing when you simply open up a MIDI file is like, default sounds from the computer. There's a standard for all that, in some form.
To convert it to an MP3...I guess you could change your windows audio settings to record the audio output.

Or you could import into FL, use a Fruity LSD on the master track, with the track set to "0," and export it as an mp3.

I have a soundcard that allow me to a virtual patch bay to route ASIO outputs to MME inputs or any other number of crazy combinations that I wish - all before it reaches any D/A or A/D stage...it's all kept in the digital realm - basically means I can download songs that are only meant to be streamed...(ha ha).
