Where do you get your ideas from?

Because I've wanted to make a flash movie for quite some time, then when I actually get Flash, my mind is totally blank as to what to do....

Where do you most of you get your ideas from? do you just think for a while of something original or get inspired from something else?

I made up my movie that I'm currently making by seeing a music video (Move your feet by Junior Senior) when the toast pops up from the toaster back and forth I think that was awesome so I am making a movie about super hero breakfast foods and the title I got from a real movie (Pulp Fiction)
My movie will be called Pulped Kitchen because the bad guy turns oranges into orange juice...(get it?)
Oh but you can use this idea (I was doing a movie like this but it got boring to me so I stopped)
Called "The Sandman" about a sandman that kills people at the beach
or you can make a spoof. (After I'm done with Pulped Kitchen I'm making a spoof about the ronald mcdonald gang [Ronald, Grimmace, Hamburgular] That steal babies and stuff...it'll be great)
DON'T TAKE MY RONALD IDEA! But you can take the sandman one!

i find that my best ideas come to me while under the "influence", i am not suggesting anything, but it always works for me, also, think of some dreams that you have had, you can make some pretty cool shit outta that

If you've just got Flash recently, then I suggest you play around with it first. Muck around with simple motion tweening and stuff.

yea kinda liek what the last guy said. but to let you know, I an get a idea to make a movie from anything, like for instants when I'm watching a movie on tv and someone dies, i can easily imagine that he died a funny ass death and turn it into a funny flash, like a gangster just ran awayay from a gamng, the next thing you know, Booom! shot in the head 5 times. stabbed 20x, and the was hanged. this might not sound as funny as when you actually watch it happen.

well I did have Flash 4 ages ago and made some crappy stick movies, one of which I sent into Newgrounds and thankfully it got blammed.
But now I want to make a proper movie, one that I don't just spend a few hours on and it's got sticks and terrible animation and everything in it is terrible.

I hate my lack of imagination... all I can think of is perverted film parodies... o_O

I agree with whoever put the post about how some stuff doesn't sound funny but it ends up being funny. With flash you can make playing chess look funny. Just make them have wierd expressions or akward silences and crap like that.

I get my ideas from myself. . . . a good place to get them. Just think of something no one has done before. Like a flash about a piece of garbage trying to get back to the can but is stopped by some stupid like. . . freakin army ants that rip it apart and burn it but it still wants to get back so the ashes all run backa and fight the army ants for a tight action scene and some stupid crap like that.

I just pull ideas out of nowhere.

Well you gotta think about it. Like for example you should make a game about something in reality or make a movie about something that just recently happened ( not 9/11 please! ). Try having a dream for a person. EX. Have a boy dreaming that he's being attcked by Apacolypse and he tries to run but he runs into death then he wakes up sweating he looks out the window and sees the Apacolypse then says to be continu.... Sound good? Use kid imagination. Watch this show called SpongeBob Squarepants. My kid watches it and it's got potential.
