I agree with you about liberals, but these republicans that call themselves conservatives can be just as stupid. Conservativism is about limiting government intervention in the economy and allowing it to prosper without restraints that liberals hinder it with. It has nothing to do with stopping gay marriage and involving government in the "moral" behavior of Americans. However, these fucking republicans stole the word and are using it to represent theological nutjobs like George Bush and Mike Huckabee. Conservativism has no religious premiss. In fact, it deals with evolution of the economy, unlike liberals who want to intelligently design the economy the way they see fit, which effectively stops the free market process from creating the maximum output of the economy.
