Equipment doesn't matter as long as you have a piece of wood with strings on it and music in your heart

I play guitar and bass as far as string instruments go.. I have a Brown sunburst Mex Strat and a Soundgear Ibanez bass. As far as amps and things, I have a Crate XT120R amp in my room for my Fender and a crappy little Peavey bass amp.

ive had a shithole toys r us guitar, an imitation of a strat for 130$ to be a little more precise. You don't need anything amazing to be good at guitar, as long as you can actually play. Next month i am upgrading to an epiphone les paul custom, which isnt anything high-end or amazing either, just a good-looking 600$ guitar. and for an amp i have a crate by my bed.

A good guitarist can take crap equipment and make it sound good.
However, once I got my ESP, everything was easier and sounded better.
I HAD a Squire wayy back when I was 13, played it to hell.
After that crap I got the EX.
Tapping, Sweeping, Pinching, all of it got really easy.
