I live in America.

our government is run by people who were born rich and have no idea what an honest day's labor looks like.

most of our corporations are run by people who don't pay attention to their customers and only look at the bottom line.

our rap subculture glorifies vice and violence and abhors education and hard work.

the minorities use the race card liberally for even the most frivolous things. as if you cannoy portray any kind of non white in even the most slightly negative way, and yet its fine when the hero is black and he goes around killing white people.

We also got 2 political parties that keep the nation divided, and as such, keeps their grip on the nation ffrom being challenged by teaching children from early childhood that you got 2 political parties and there cannot be a third party. so far no third poltiical party has ever gotten off the ground.

the political system is so rabid that no matter what the president does, the opposing party is gonna run him into the ground and drag him through the mud over even things which shouldn't even have been brought up in the first place. I mean seriously, what the president does in his private life is none of our business. If bush gets drunk and yodels while dancing in a nazi uniform in his bedroom, that's his own business, not ours. If he goes to a press conference in a nazi uniform, now thats a different story.

In Australia we have no idea if he have problems or not. Apart from remote outback ghettos, growing gridlock and increasing strain on public transport in the capitol cities, and drought. The media is too busy giving us the latest update in the American primaries (a sad day when I know more of whats going in in another country then in my own), what type of shoes some celebrity is wearing, and providing us with every piece of information about sport and sport players. Some days they might as well say "Some sports star played poorly (because they were up parting on alcohol and drug binges rather then focusing on their fitness) this is a national disgrace we hope they do better next week, and on the lighter side of news thousands of people have died from some disaster but we wont bore you with the details", depending on who you listen to, (Capitalists) Kevin Rudd is going to destroy the economy, (Trade unionists) Kevin Rudd is too friendly to business and some perceived immigration epidemic, (Religious) The government is too apathetic about poker machines, (Fanatical environmentalists) The government isn't green enough and other environmentalist gibberish, (Farmers and rural communities) the government is going to steal our water, (Everyone else) "Fuck politics. Petrol, and food are too expensive, and don't get me started about alcohol"

Main problem I think is everyones apathy to anything that doesn't effect them directly.

Lulz, you don't think if Bush is a secret Nazi or not should be something the American public should be privy to?

Or if their president despises their values, is a rapist/sexual harasser? Perjures himself? Suborns perjury?

I guess you could say our problem is that it has been so long since we've actually had a man of integrity in our nations highest office, we've lost understanding of integrity and our nation's highest office.

When we have fathers and sons; husbands and wives all occupying the same position, that indicates to me that we are not spreading out the power.

We have Senators that get voted in and then never get voted out, so they feel free to do what they want. Look at Ted Kennedy: he took over JFK's seat in what, 1962, when JFK started running for President? And he's still there, FORTY-SIX years later. And now the only way he'll be leaving is if he DIES. Something doesn't seem quite right with that...

Its even worse with supreme court Justices.
I just started reading Men in Black by Levin, and holy cow.
Justices get appointed for life so when their brains start going, they don't neccessarily go with it.

America.

Heres a list of the things I consider to be wrong with America. Feel free to blast them oh and pardon the spelling I'm lazy also I'm not offering any solutions here just pointing out whats wrong with the US of A

10.The Media- We need something entertaining and unbiased if thats possible. The Media just spins shit and sell us products. We need C-span minus the boring

9. Our celebrity obsessed culture- Really i don't give a shit what the stars are up to neither should you or the fat woman behind me buying up all the tabloids. We need to start focusing on the future instead of the next skinny skank

8.The culture- Sure its not as bad as the TV pundits lead you to believe but this new culture is sure an idiotic, shallow one. MTV is by far the worst offender. Cmon kids be a scientist or a lawyer rather than the next fiddy or Madonna or whatever those crazy kids listen to these days(me included)

7.Fundamentalism+politics-We don't need more religion in our government people. I haven't once heard of a government that was actually improved by Turing into a theocracy

6.Politics- Whens the last time you felt good about our politicos?
Never because they are bloodsucking leeches that look only for themselves and don't do shit for the American people and I'm not talking about the GOP only I'm talking about the whole thing Dem's,Greens, reds and purples

5. The Dumbassifictaion of American Kids- this is a pretty sad one. we rank pretty low in test scores between the other industrial nations. Our kids are getting stupider by the minute and we're just adding to it by doing nothing. They idolize airheaded celebrities and pursue follhardy careers instead of folling academia of course they should have fun and enjoy themselves but being a mother at 15 is pretty sad

4.War- we are embroiled in to wars right now that have no end in sight. We keep sending our finest over there but they seem to have no effect other than inflaming the enemy more. we need to stabilize quick and leave fast somewhat like wam bam thank you mam sort of dealie

3. A culture of P*ssies- Our culture encourages a mentality of going as fast as the slowest one can go this can only lead to decline. We should help the underperforming but focus more on the best and brightest instead of this PC "lets not hurt their feelings" It waters down the culture and performance of our nation

2. Political correctness- This is a terrible force at work in America. People are afraid to speak their mind for fear of offending a minority and majority or some obscure fringe group. Black comedians can lampoon whites but they cant do the same its ridiculous. Of course hate speech should be limited but ither than that free reign. This leads me to censorship since the Janet boobgate at the super bowl are americans really that prudish to have been offended by Janets breast?(I wonder if she was white would there have been that much furor) please america learn how to parent. Stop blaming it on the media,TV and video games. I dont want to pay for your fatass kids incurred taxes expedentures beacuse you think TV and Vidoe games made them fat. Send them to the desert for a couple days without food and they'll be good as new, but really teach those assholes some damn respect and manners and make them watch at least mildly stimlating(intellectually) Tv rather than Yo momma on MTV or some other shit.

1. The american people- You know why the world thinks we're a bunch of dumbass obese slobs? Thats beacuse about half of us our. We flock to populists and never dare question aothority lest they be called Unamerican. The public have the power to change america for the better. We goota get on thsoe treadmills, get politically informed, educated and less annoying. of course thats a pipe dream but a guy can dream cant he?

Norway:

- We have all the fucking oil money we can imagine but fail hard at spending intelligently.
- The government are bitches to muslim immigrants, adapting Norway to them, rather than them to us.
- We cut funding from everything; schools, hospitals, military. Hell the police station in my town closes at 4 pm.
- We have 15 political parties, most of them are the same. The most conservative is about as liberal as the U.S Democrats

England

My goodness, what does the world think of the British?
- The amount of times iv'e been trash talked over xbox live for my accent is insane.
Don't get me wrong, theres a host of problems with my country; (peasant 'chav' culture, politically-correct extremism, Racist conservatives...to name but a few.) However, what is really annoying is the rep we get from everybody else. I would say about 30% of the foreign people I talk to make some malicious reference to my nationality at some point.
I'm not at all xenophobic, in fact sometimes I wished I lived in America...but even so, what is everybody else's problem with us Britons?

I don't like how people think if you support universal health care then you're poor.

I don't like it when people suffer in the name of capitalism or free trade. That doesn't apply to the mortgage meltdown though, if you took out a loan you knew you couldn't repay, well you're fucking stupid and maybe you should go bankrupt. However, adjustable rate mortgages are immoral and should be capped, and loaners should be discouraged, if not punished, for tricking stupid people into taking loans they know they can't repay.

I don't like how the left wants to get us out of Iraq ASAP, but I also don't like how the right feels that whatever Bush decides what the right troop levels are, is what we should go with. I'm willing to bet if one of Bush's generals said it was time to pull out of Iraq, but Bush said "fuck you I'll do what I want", Limbaugh and Hannity would still probably defend Bush.

I don't like it how our leaders think if we ignore Iran it'll make them want to have direct talks with us.

I don't like how people think the 9th Amendment applies to every social issue under the sun. Abortion, gay marriage, both have nothing to do with the 9th Amendment, so shut the fuck up.

America is a Christian nation, get the fuck over it.

also, cocks, but I don't think that's related

Not happy that our government watches us pull lint from our pockets in an attempt to fill the tank, when we have the some of the largest oil reserves on the planet.
Not happy that our government rolls over to to US pressure at the expense of our citizens.
Not happy that our government extended the Afghan mission.

Those are my main bitches about this country.

Britain.

It's too expensive to own a car here.
Underage parents are ruining Britain's future.
People kill, steal and violate people's lives, unprovoked (maybe the same in other countries).
At the same time, people complain about over-population (thus raising taxes).
Anti-racism is taken too far - It's now 'Baa Baa Rainbow Sheep' taught in schools.

To name a few.

America.

First of all, people who hate our government for no/a bad reason. People will say "Bush is an idiot", I ask why, and they sometimes say "because he started a war". Idiots.

Secondly, political correctness. I doubt I have to explain this.

Thirdly, people complaining and possibly rioting over things like video games and books.

I might have more reasons later.

Bush isn't an idiot because he sent his troops to Iraq and Afghanistan; fighting wars is what you have to do as a politician. America has interests in the middle east, such as the oil in Sudan, Afghanistan and Iraq
and the arms dealers and freedom fighters in Israel.
You might consider a war as a defense of your country. The war in the middle east right now is in defense of the economy and the social interests of the world.
Oh, and to show Iran that the free world has more power than it had bargained for.

I speak as an englishman here, so please don't consider me biased.

Australia.

Despite being very accepting of mutlicultural aspects of Australian life, the majority of us "whities" are actually pretty racist, though we would never admit it. This is worsened by the fact that alot of racism stems from the conflict that stems from interactions with these small groups who band together, rather than integrating. The whole thing just forms a vicious cycle and its fucking annoying catching myself having such racist and xenophobic attitudes, then watching someone have the shit beaten through them and go "Oh yeah, thats why I was thinking like that".

Inflation is 2% above the target band, yet everyone keeps whinging about the rising interest rates. Heres an idea, help out the Americans and buy some US products, because due to our high interest rates, our dollar has appreciated alot! It will ease pressure on inflation, and help out an ally that is going into recession! And people still bitching about petrol prices, thinking the market should be taken down, rather than fixing the root cause of it all which is our over reliance on that commodity. I don't give a shit if you believe in global warming or not, use less friggin petrol and we'll all be better off, inflation wise too!

I'm sick of every opposition member who appears on TV attacking the labour party for some arbitrary reason, over and over again, barely justifying their own statements. I know that's what you think your job is, but its fucking annoying. The party loyalty that dominates Australian politics shits me. We need more members crossing the floor and actually voting for their consituencies, rather than for their party. Crossing this with inflation, the attacks on the latest budget "Oh, you're spending more than would have been done if you hadn't changed last years plans" fuck off, like you wouldn't have changed them and spent even more with total disregard to inflationary pressures in your goal for "full employment" totally ignoring the ill effects of the phillips curve.

I have more to rant about, but my girlfriend is bitching at me to come to bed already.

Oh. Your. God.

I come from England, it's nice but the problems are:

1. Gun control. We're not even aloud black water guns. The only guns we can really have are low powered rifles, and shotguns. Plus, they have to be locked away and we can only own them either for hunting or sport. We're not aloud to use them for self-defence.

2. Chavs and all the gangstas with their trousers 3 inches below their waste, their smoking and the way they look like a penguin when they walk.

3. Crime, it's too high and because we're not aloud to cary any defensive weaponry in this country, and if we hurt the attacker too much then we can face assault charges.

4. Unarmed police force. All they carry are batons and it takes them about 30mins to arrive.

5. Weather. In England it rains literally 50% of the time and when it doesn't rain (only in summer - and it still rains a bit then) it's too hot. I hate the summers here, I feel like I'm going to die from too much heat. And it usually only snows once a year - & when it does, it's only half an inch & it's melted away within 6 hours.

6. Dumb laws that are being brought out that force you to stay in school until 18. Even though it may be pretty pointless for most people.

7. No death penalty. People who kill, rob, rape, commit arson etc deserve to die. In this country there is the death penalty for nothing. If you killed The Queen, Gordon Brown, & blew up all of London they still couldn't give you capital punishment. Plus, I don't pay taxes yet, but when I do - I don't want them to waste my money keeping Murderers alive.

8. Too many immigrants that can't speak or can barely speak English. I'm not saying that I have a problem with immigrants - but about 90% of shops are owned by Asians & about 40% of them cannot speak proper English and you can't understand them.

9. Too short school holidays. In the USA and Canada I think they break up in May and go back in mid September and they have about a month of at Christmas. Over here, we break up late July and Go back in early December. That's a good 2 or 3 months less. Plus, my christmas break is only 1 & a half weeks and I go back the day after New Years Day,

It's pretty much the same in the U.S. School breaks for summer around June 30th, and goes back on September 2nd, totaling about the same summer break. The christmas break is usually about a week and a half to two weeks, going back January 2nd or 3rd.

Mind you, it might be different in Canada, but in the U. S. the number of school days is mandated by federal law. The states do it or they lose their funding.
