It is highly depressing for a day to go by without Hillary Clinton dropping out of the race. She has made many inflammatory statements making her increasingly unelectable. I mean, look at what she said about Bobby Kennedy - why is she comparing Obama to him? She would not have a chance of winning against John McCain in the general election in November. Why does she want it so badly? Is her husband the "power behind the throne"? I don't want to sound like a whiny liberal, which I may very well be, but when can Barack Obama put his campaign into overdrive so that he can win the election and succeed George W. Bush to the presidency? This is frustrating, dammit.

This feels very much like Bill's victories...
trailing behind and POW... right in the kisser.
If she wins, I'm voting for her... although-- if Obama wins. I throw in a "good-enough" vote.

If she ended up as the nominee I'd vote for her but I'd much prefer Obama.

I was reading about that yesterday when it first broke. It's sickening to see to what lows she's willing to stoop for the presidency.

As of right now, its impossible for her to win, the onlr reason she's still in it is if shes planning something, say, force the Florida and Michigan delegates to be counted.

If she wins the nimination, I'm writing in a vote.
Hillary is evil personified.
This isn't the first time she's alluded to Obama getting sniped (!) in this campaign, either. More like the 4th time. If you saw Keith Olbermann last night, he gave a right and proper smackdown (and I don't even like Olbermann.)

Personally, I strongly dislike Hillary. However, I believe she is staying in the race because it would show to her fellow democrats while she still may not have won she does have the ablity to get votes because she had gotten as far as she did, therefore they may decide to support her further should she ever run again (though I cringe at the thought). If she were to just quit, that may make it less likely for people to vote for her again.
Just spitballin' here. (I hope she quits anyway)

If Obama wins, he'll get crucified by the Republicans and the Republican media. Less so for Hilary.
Just saying. I prefer Obama personally; he's certainly an inspiring talker.

if hillary quits she loses her corner of the spotlight, and you know a clinton won't give up even a small bit of the spotlight willingly.

I like both of them in terms of policy but there is no chance I am trusting her at her word with anything she says. It has already been shown she can't be trusted with her statements.
As for why she is staying in the race, it is because she thinks she still has a shot of winning, which she technically does (I would give it a 3-5% chance of happening). I don't think with her debt she will stay much longer though. Obama has a stronger launching pad in terms of money.

her best shot is a shot... a shot aimed at obama. otherwise, she will have to rely on superdelegates to tell the democratic voters they can go fuck themselves.

I look at it as a threat. There have been a great number of suspcious deaths that have been linked to the Clintons (and Bushs for that matter) over the years. All it takes is a google to see for yourself.

I'm embarrassed to have voted for her for Senate in 2006 now that she has revealed who she truly is. I hope someone runs against her for the Democratic Senate Primary in 2012 since I would totally vote for whoever that will be (as you may be able to tell I am a New Yorker).

Am I the only person who sees Hillary like a sports movie? Look at the plot points:
* She was the favourite beforehand
* Obama came out of nowhere to take an early lead
* Just when it looked like she'd fall by the wayside, she came back with some big wins
* Now, Obama is sounding like the sore loser, not Hillary, with his "I've won" attitude
When it gets to the Democratic convention, Hillary is going to adopt the crane stance and kick Obama out of the ring to win the nomination. Narrative convention demands it!
However, would John McCain be Karate Kid II or III?

I'm pretty sure she's a Republican secret weapon so they can have the presidency for another four years.

Enough Republicans have certainly voted for her in open primaries.

lol so true, only this isn't some argument over a non slip frying pan. Bringing up things totally unrelated will not work in an election, or will it? (Americans care too much about scandals rather then their candidates abilities so I'm not so sure)

Hillary does have some terrible taste. To say RFK died in June the day Ted found out about his brain tumor was bad taste. To say basically that Obama "might" get shot at is bad taste. She thinks at this piont she is running for 2012, but I doubt that. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if she was voted out of the Senate.
Besides, if Obama was killed at this point more people would go straight to Al Gore over Clinton.

Hmph, while I'm all for having a qualified woman president run our country and break the longtime trend of male presidents, the only thing I can say is this: NOT HILLARY. She is extremely dishonest for one thing. I can't believe how agressive she still is, even as Obama is tying up the Democratic primaries. All she's doing is damaging the chances of Obama in the general election.
I have a scenario all figured out:
The super delegates are her only chance of beating Obama, right? These delegates operate independantly of the people's will right? So this means that if she DOES somehow pull them all in and win the Democratic primaries, she'll look like she won REGUARDLESS of what the american people or not. And piggybacking this she'll be criticized for taking support from the 'rich politicians' and be tagged as 'not acting in the PEOPLE's best interest'.
She can't beat McCain with that rep. She can't beat him PERIOD. And if she goes in, her husband Bill follows - you KNOW he's not going to just leave things alone, he's going to serve a third term through her. We really don't need HIM back in there, and there's the principal itself of following the rules. Three terms isn't allowed.
Obama is teh 1337 so u votes fir hem Lol.
