On my shelf, unwatched, along with quite a few other films, that won't be watched until I've finished Buffy and Angel.

I myself am watching plenty at the moment, trying to cut through my 70+ unwatched discs.

Making decent progress.

I actually have seen American History X. I mis-quoted you there. I meant i hadn´t seen that first anime one you said :/

Didn´t they make a re-make of this one recently?

WELL YOU SHOULD.

I know, i know, i just haven´t seen it in shops anywhere.
Have you seen Porco Rosso?

Well, animated films are...films too you know. I just didn't post as much because i don't want you guys to think that's all i watch.

I know, and i like ´em too, but i thought it might be best to keep this club to real movies, but if everyone´s ok with it, i am too.

k, thanks man.

Very Welcome.

It might be a masterpiece....compared to a B-Movie.

The first one, obviously, it's got Robert Muldoon in it. The second one is almost as good, because it's got Roland Tembo.

The third one is shit and made of lies and doesn't count.

I gotta agree with you there. The first one was my favourite too. I liked the whole idea of the theme park and the dinosaurs escaping in it and stuff. Also, Jeff Goldblum gave it +10 cool points.

The third one is shit and made of lies and doesn't count.

The story seemed a bit more rushed on this one and i think they just wanted to cash in on the JP hype so they got the original actors back and put in a half decent story. Still a good watch.

I´ve only seen about 2 episodes of the series. Not enough to make me want to watch a movie of it.

It's about the Russian mafia, set in London (I believe). Viggo Mortensen (who played Aragorn in the LotR movies) is in it. I thought it looked quite good personally, but wanted to see if anybody has any opinions on it.

Well, from the trailer it looks OK, but not spectacular. I always like movies that are set in London though. And i see it has that French actor who was also in Crimson rivers (another decent movie i have on DVD).

This club is devolping rather quickly, which is pretty good.

Hope it doesn't turn into another choclate milk lovers club or death note club where it starts off with 5 posts an hour then once you reach page 15 you get a post a week.

Anyway I thought it was funny seeing all you guys listing anime movies under your favorites...I was honestly expecting this club to mainly be mainly a club about live action movies.

/End.

I really like a lot of anime movies, I wasn't implying that I didn't. I was simply saying when someone hears about a movie club they generally think its about live action movies not animated movies.

Animated or not, movies are movies.

Wow, Life-Stream, you're missing out on a lot of good movies. There Will be Blood was amazing. Ichi the Killer was an extremely entertaining flick. And the untouchables was quite good.

I'm sure I've seen at least one film labelled as such that I enjoyed, but when I think of "exploitation flick" I think of dumb crap like Thriller: En Grym Film or Hanzo the Razor. stuff that's not fun crap, just crap.

I watch it at least once a month. I know all the words.

I'm almost like that with a couple of movies whether or not I've seen them an assload of times. I've probably seen Miller's Crossing about 4 times, but I remember a lot of the lines very well. I was showing it to a friend and I kept talking along with the movie.

Speaking of Aliens, I don't think I've seen one film with Michael Beighn in which his character didn't die. He died in Terminator, Aliens, Tombstone, and Planet Terror. Maybe he lived in NAVY SEALS, but I blocked that piece of shit from my memory.

I think I've seen everything by Chan Wook Park available in the U.S. J.S.A, Oldboy, Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, Lady Vengeance, and that short film featured in Three...Extremes. They were all good.

Yes, I have. I've seen most of Cronenberg's movies. I thought Eastern Promises was quite good, but I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting something great.

I should warn you, though. You see Viggo's junk....for a long time.....ugh....

of course. great movies.

Speaking of crime films, you people should see State of Grace. It's a really good crime drama with Sean Penn, Robin Wright, Ed Harris, and best of all, Gary fucking Oldman.

Alien 3 grows on you. The alternate cut is slightly better, too. It rounds of the series nicely, if you ignore everything that comes after it. Resurrection could have been good, it was written by Joss Whedon, but the director butchered it. AVP is beyond saving, and I've not seen AVP2.

I'd been watching Terminator and Aliens for years before I realised Kyle Reese and Dwayne Hicks were the same person.

Did that big dinosaur in number 3 even exist?

In other news, i watched the first Indiana Jones last week, and i just watched the second one (IJ and the temple of doom) right now. I liked the second one more which is strange, because sequels never seem to live up to their predecessors. Anyway, i´ll watch number 3 soon because my dad has the first 3 in a box set.....i´m warming up for the new one.

Last Crusade > Raiders > Temple of Doom

They're all ace, though. I hear the new one is only average. I'll see it when it comes out on DVD, cinemas are always full of morons who ruin the film.

The new one is between average, and bad.

It managed to not bore me, so there's that. But there was so much that was too ridiculous to suspend your disbelief.

Also, the plot and dialogue were pretty bad.

Also, monkeys and prairie dogs? What the hell?

I'm disliking the film more and more as I look back on it.

I'm sure a rewatch would have me hating it.

You can't watch them as serious films. I mean, it's Harrison Ford fighting Nazis with a whip. They're just "HOLY FUCK THAT'S AWESOME" films. In one of them, Last Crusade I think, he fights a Nazi on top of a tank, until the tank drives off a cliff, but he grabs a vine or something and climbs back up. It's brilliant.

I am going to see Indiana Jones later today.
I wonder if it is going to be as good as the old ones.
Also I think I may have heard that it will over take the Harry Potter Series in some way. If anyone could give me any info on that it would be apreciatedd.
P.S. My faverouite movie is the new ( or old now) Transformers movie. It had some wicked effects.
