I have no beef with Sony and the PsP or any of the other handhelds trying to work into the market but...

the N-Gage is just wrong. Why pay nearly $300 for something that isnt even nearly half as good as the GBA? I think it shows that the video game industry is getting just a bit too big, cuz now conglomerates will start making crap and the market will be flooded with it..... like MTV.

I liked the article except for that blow to the box at the end there.

I never did think this N-Gage would make any threat to the GameBoy industry, I didn't know it was supposed to be a cell phone too, that doesnt sound like an apitizing idea to me. Some critizations i can make on the N-gage:
-screen squiched
-dont like the numbers for buttons idea
-too many buttons on the 'game pad'
-when i saw commercials for it it looked like the graphics werent that good, but that may have been cause it was on the tele
-just that it even tried to overtake Nintendo in the handheld buisiness, several companies have tried before, none were successful
--the only one that may have a chance of even competing with nintendo with the handhelds will be the PSP, but i still have to check out what thats going to look like
-i wouldn't like to have my cell phone look like that, or have my handheld game be a cell phone, but the MP3 is a nice touch

flames aren't encouraged on the NG BBS, in fact i think it is a bannable offence, but i havent looked at the rules for a while so flaming might just be frowned upon or something like that

Well first off, I would like to say that the Xbox is not at all a bad console. I play my Xbox more than any other console I own.

Secondly, before you go flaming other companies about how bad their doing, look at your obvious "hero" Nintendo. Pretty much the only thing holding them up there is excess money that they've made and the GBA. Gamecube is a decent console, but it fell tremendously. Now you can find them new for $99.

Last, I don't feel the need for an N-Gage, and think that it is a pathetic idea, but I don't see why you encourage flaming. Are you afraid that if not enough people flame it, it will do better than the GBA?

That's a good point. But they're still making money (I assume. Haven't looked it up), so they must be doing something right.
