I wouldn't have even bought a Wii in th first place. I've been a hardcore Nintendo fan for 20 years, but I'm so dissapointed in the dirction they've taken their next-gen console in I'm sticking to the Gamecube and the 360 untill they pull me back in. If the next Legend of Zelda is as promissing as it's rumored to be, I might reconsider. For now, not even SSBB can change my mind.
Sounds promising, but let's take a look at your arguements.
I just don't like the principle of the Wii. I think the nunchuck is a joke, there's like 30 controllers for the damned thing already and the games are patheticly childish
Honestly, the games seem childish because you're listening to the people who don't play the Wii. I've never played a Wii game specifically aimed for small children. The nunchuk is actually pretty cool and much more grippable than the remote. It holds the C and Z buttons and control stick. There are three specific controllers for the Wii. The remote, nunchuk, and classic controller developed for Virtual console games gotten thorugh the Wii Shop Channel. Other things like the steering wheel or Zapper are merely accessories for certain games.
, boring and/or low quality. Some of them aren't even games in my opinion, they're exercise routines set on a platorm device. Hell, they even have a Wii stair stepper now so you can do yoga and shit. That just goes against every fibber of my being.
Yes, Wii Fit seemed like a joke. But that is not meant to be a game. It's meant to be an experience. Wii Fit is NOT meant to make anybody skinnier, but if anything, make them more aware of their health and what not. Shigeru Miyamoto wanted everybody to try something new.
As someone who's enjoyed sitting on his ass for 2 decades in front of a screen, I just think the Wii is the antithisis of what video games are all about. Nintendo's just trying to get into a wider market to make more money, not because they care about the health of the generations of fat-assed loosers they themselves helped to create.
They don't care about the health of gamers (especially not the lazy ass Americans), but if there's one thing that Nintendo's not, is being a profit organization. Since their beginning, they wanted everybody to experience their wonderful games. That explains their low prices and short use of T games. Nintendo's trying to evolve what we consider gaming. And not in the sense of motion control, but in what a great game is.
Wii salute...to great gaming.
This is one fat-ass looser, signing off.
