IGN just gave it a 4.5 .
Here is just another classic Sony hype-job gone wrong.

IGN suck balls with their reviews, I never use them for anything, the only thing I go by is actually playing the fucking game.
I never saw the reason for the hype of the game. You may like it, but the game isn't that good. It is about a 7. I have been hearing a lot of negative or mediocre things about it.

I agree regarding Haze. It looks just like another generic shooter with nothing special about it. The same is true about a lot of PS3 games. They are nothing special but get overly hyped because the PS3 has nothing.

I'm not sure how this hype for Haze came about. I don't think anybody with a PS3 really cared about it, the marketing was shoved down our throats.

I'm not saying this is the case, but a lot of companies actually pay kids to go around forums long before games are ready or released hyping games to form an empty kind of hype. I know a could of conspiracy surrounds Haze for that but that's just a conspiracy. It almost feels like when Killzone 1 came out for the PS2 when there really was no real reason to hype and then it sold mediocre and got mediocre reviews. Leaning more onto the negative side.
But who knows, we'll see when more reviews come out and more people play it.

Eh Killzone was alright but I don't know why reviewers are excited about Killzone 2. Whenever someone mentions Killzone 2 in a console war discussion I just cringe at how that person has fell into a trap. But I can imagine companies paying people to hype games in forums. In the PS3 online crew in C&C we didn't really care about Haze enough to call it a great game. Now and again there were short posts about it or news articles but nothing more.
I actually ordered Haze on next day delivery which is quite expensive. But after reading the IGN review I changed it to first class delivery, might even cancel it entirely.
But who knows, we'll see when more reviews come out and more people play it.
If something can get lower than a 6 out of 10 then it's not going to be good. The way review scores work these days it's 7-10. 7 being bearable/decent and 10 being perfect. Go below that then it's a terrible game. That score will greatly affect the average. People go straight for reviews rather than buying the game. Who can afford $60/£40 on a gut feeling for every game. Sometime I wish I can rent games around my area but it's not that easy.
Haze doesn't look all that bad, and Heavenly Sword seemed pretty awesome to me.
Famitsu gave Haze a 34/40 and apparently, Playstation Magazine gave it a 9/10...
I never heard of Famitsu and I never read PSM but there must something good in Haze to get some good score. There's not enough review to decide yet, in my opinion...

While I can't say much about Famitsu, I'm roughly 100% positive that that 9/10 has nothing to do with the magazine's official allegiance to Sony...

The mere fact that some people think that PSM and OXM are legit sources of objective information is shocking.
oblivion, warhawk, call of duty 4 game of the year edition, socom confrontation and oviously MGS4.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this means "I agree with you" and not "I can't detect sarcasm."
And add Nintendo Power to that list.

Haze = bad.
6.0, better take a screenshot before the reviewer gets fired and changes the score.

I know what you're doing there but I was mostly just saying it, you know? Since people always refer to the IGN review even though I heard my share of rumor of their "unreliability"(maybe not the right word, sorry). but then again, everyone as at least one reviewers that they mark as crap. Personally, I'm waiting for at least the Gamespot and the X play review and maybe some other ones as a bonus. Like I said, it's too early to decide. Well for me anyway...

Metal Gear Solid 4, it makes me sad that I'll probably never be able to play it.

THEY GAVE GTA4 A 10 , They can't go wrong.
But really the game did suck major balls , it was a wannabe halo 3 with some bioshock elements.

Oops. Well that's one down. I'm currently not buying the game right now. To bad though, I mean, it still Free Radical. I'm really can't wait Time Splitter 4 now.

Even the games that are also ported on the 360 receive more positive reviews and reception from reviewers and regular gamers.
Seriously, I play consoles for quality Video Games, not just for Blu-Ray.
Well first of all, you should maybe start to check out more than just one review, especially Gamespot. Also, I didn't buy the PS3 because of the Blu-Ray; I bought it because, personally, the games are more appealing to me. The only games that interest me on the 360 is Gears of War and maybe Dead Rising. Now, don't get me wrong, if I had more money, I would own all three consoles cause they're all great in their ways, but the PS3 fit best with me and, as you said, the 360 is best for you. And about the ports, if I have the choice between PS3 and 360, I'll go with PS3 because of the controller.
I know there's a lot of fanboys out there but you should know that not every one that own just one of the three consoles are one.

I'm surprised none of you have mentioned Tekken 6 yet. I've got high hopes for Getaway 3 and GT5 as well. MGS4 will kick arse, despite it being the last one in the series...

I actually find IGN to be a pretty reliable source for video game reviews. Their only problems are that they'll occasionally pick a big-release whipping boy at random to give a bad review so people don't think they're slaves to the hype machine, and they're a bit unnecessarily harsh and snobbish at times. Other media forms on the other hand...
But when trying to make a point about the critical reception of a single-console exclusive, you can't seriously use that console's official magazine as evidence.

Yeah... but I wasn't really trying to make a point though... Beside, Playstation Magazine is a joke, I mean, come on; a magazine?
Final personal verdict is pretty much - it's a bad game. highest score I've seen from a know source was 6/10.
I realized after awhile that we kind of drift away from the actual tread so: Little Big Planet seems more promising cause the people that tried it says that every time that they played it, they got amaze by even more new stuff.
