It's spelled "Guns", not "Gunz".
Anyways, my favorite solo has to be the one in Bat country, by Avenged Sevenfold.

I really like Duet solos in songs, and pretty much any non-cheesy brass instrument solo

Hmm, hard decision...
I think I'll go for the brilliant solo of Petrucci in 'In the Name of God' by Dream Theater.
Dream Theater, you love 'em, you hate 'em, you love to hate 'em... But still they are skilled musicians, something we could use more of...

I feel sick when people post dragoforce or Guns n roses...
Sure Slash is good, but if you listen to players such as clapton, page, Shenker etc, he brings nothing new to the table.
Deffo agree with the Lifeson solo, although 2112 is probably his best.
Who wants to live forever by Queen has a short yet beautiful solo.

Uhm, it's not hard at all. I know it on guitar and I've only been playing for one and a half years.
Anyway, there are so many good solos I can't possibly pick the best. I do favor the second one in Comfortably Numb, though.

Beat me to it, especially the live, extended version on Pulse.
