Yes, his minister's a bit off the deep end. Hell, I'm not surprised he came out during Obama's campaign. The minister probably thought it would be a good time to "spend the word about America and God". Look at the other side too. Obama handled the situation relativly well and got through it without much damage. At least it wasn't like Hillary's campaign.
Also, do you know how else was in that church? Oprah Winfrey. Oprah has quite a lot of power in the media, so to call Obama a racist pig is to call Oprah that, and last time I checked she was one of the most powerful people in the country on the media.

How is that a bad or contradictory thing to do?
He wants to bring troops home but knowing he can't he votes for increased spending, making them better equipped raising their chances of coming come alive.
