Davis is recalled and Arnold is in! Many people don't think Arnold will do a good job, but I don't think they gave the man enough credit. Besides, look at his former competitors incompotent politicians, a stripper, child stars, etc., CA would be worse off with them. Arnold is a smart businessman and I think that is what CA needs right now; people who know how to spend money not ultra-liberal whack jobs that pays people to be a hobo in CA, or blow millions to be "politically correct." If you know enough about CA, you know what I am saying.

Lets review something. How is he OR anyone going to fix the state?
He is against taxes, fine but if he repeals the car tax the state loses funds
OR he can cut spending but that would go against his platform
Something is going to happen to teach California a lesson on how much control the voters should have in what happens to their budget.
I think he will do an okay job, but i dont know how to fix the economy for this state. It should be fun.
Question: Does anyone agree to an amendment saying you dont have to be born in the US to be president, so long as you are a US citizen? Conservatives, Liberals and independents please answer that, and state which side of the spectrum you are on.

He's not against taxes. He'll repeal the car tax, but place that tax on Indian casinos. Outside of taxing the Native Americans, yes, he is against taxes. I don't think I'm saying this as a knock on Arnold, just stating an observation.

I agree to it under one condition. It currently stand that you need to be at least 35 years of age, right? Well then, I propose that if you include those not born in the US, then that person must be a US citizen for at least 35 years. Sound fair enough?

california is fucked. i'm so glad. maybe arnie will do a bad enough job that the californians will wake the fuck up. c'mon, he wouldn't even show up to debates. all his questions were scripted. they are soooo fucked.
if i was governor of cali i would plant explosives in the fault line and create a massive earthquake that would cause the state to drift off into the pacific. they belong in their own seperate country, away from us

He did show up to one debate... the one where the questions were given ahead of time so he could have other people give him the answers. This was why I didn't vote for Arnold. He's such a vulnerable prey to the Republican party. He has no idea what he gotten himself into. If Arnold is true to his anti-politics stance, then he is fucked because the moments he starts going against the Republican party's wishes, he's going to have two parties wanting his head on a platter. Either Arnold becomes the Republican party's puppet or he becomes abandoned. His desire to have everything written for him tells me it's the former.

I really don't care as long as they have lived here for the vast majority of their life and they aren't assholes, but wait that would rule out all our former presidents.....lets just say I dont want a president (why do we need a puppet official anyway, i mean do presidents actually makes informed decisions by themselves, i dont remember the last president who had a phd in economics) They are just icons, for a country that used to be ruled by a monarchy (see british), we needed something that resembled a king to put people more at ease with the government. So do away with them now before they have any more illegitamate power, lets just have a senate and house...oh and judicial but thats it. Respectfully written by an anarchist.

This race just goes to show you that the elections today are becoming more and more of a popularity contest.
Hhehe just in most people thoughts was, how can California be any worse with anyone else in office, most people are thinking that Gray Davis just F'ed them over so they are just like ok, well lets try a movie star he can't do any worse. Anyways it's only for a two year term. I mean seriously Arnold vs Davis?
Tough choice, so tough I voted for appathy. The porn star appealed to me, but than again appathy seemed to be the best bet.
I am guessing that the Republicans are not going to use Arnold again for another election, they just wanted to win over California to support their President, I mean why let the Democrates stay in power lets take them out, and the only way they were able to do that was with a popularity contest. If they just had Tom.Mc verse Davis .G it would of been a very close match and I think the recall may of never happen and Davis stayed in power, but with Arnold, it just tiped the scale to a landslide by popularity.

Allright, first of all, you're not from California, so shut the fuck up. This doesn't affect you. Second out all, how is it going to be better for California? Gray Davis didn't tell Enron to screw the state over, causing the energy crisis, Gray Davis didn't ask the dot com companies to go out of business. California does have problems, but Arnold hasn't presented anything that remotely resembles solutions.
Arnold is a smart businessman and I think that is what CA needs right now; people who know how to spend money not ultra-liberal whack jobs that pays people to be a hobo in CA, or blow millions to be "politically correct." If you know enough about CA, you know what I am saying.
You obviously don't know enough about California. Across the bridge, in San Francisco, the most liberal city in the country, we still have thousands of homeless people, and none of them are "getting paid." And I don't know who these "ultra-liberal whack jobs" you are talking about are, but the only serious candidate in the recall race who was remotely liberal (Peter Camejo, who I voted for) was the only person with an actual solution to aid the defecit: legalize and tax marijuana, something I've been advocating for years.
I'm not saying Gray Davis was a great governor, far from it. I mean, he was a Democrat, for God's sakes. All that I'm saying is that we aren't better off with a moronic Nazi rapist in charge. Once Schwarzenegger wears out his welcome in this state, I'm positive that we as Californians will easily have the 1,000,000 necessary signitures for Recall II.

There's this new law that was passed recently in the city called "Care Not Cash", which basically means we stop giving homeless people any money, and instead build more shelters. Unfortunately, the city's budget required that they not build any new shelters.

LOL well first off to be a Nazi you have to be in the Nazi party, I believe, you may be refering to his father who was a Nazi during WW2 but is what has that to do with what Arnold is? Is he signed up for the Nazi party? Do he openly support it? The answer would be no. Father does not equal what son does, things change my friend, Arnold is not a Nazi not from what I can tell.
Rapist, ummm, I never heard anything about Arnold being a rapist anytime, the only thing that came close was the orgy he had and the drugs he took, but if you have some website that proves that Arnold was charged and Conviced of rape than please show it, it will greatly change my thoughts of him.
Yah I agree that once his popularity stops with the cheers and all the ballons and party favors and down to bussiness Schwarzenegger will have to come up and turn California around like he said he would. We will see what will happen, otherwise congrads to him and hopefully he lives up to his word.

he was quoted saying he admired hitler for being a small man who created great power for himself. that was in the sixties in austria the comment was probably acceptable in the place at that time. i'm sure being raised by a nazi in his younger years he might have adopted (if only temporarily) the values of the nazi party. anything nazi-ish on his part will not fly and will result in another lovely recall by the fical citzens of california, not to mention a huge blow to his reputation.
as for being a rapist he has been accused of groping serveral women, as well as making some sexist comments (i don't know what they were)

Well America allows any party to reside here, I mean they have the pot party for someone sake, even the KKK, my god, they are a legal party, a communist party as well. All these wants to over throw the goverment in one way or another. Now since Arnold ran for Republican party and not Nazi party, I am going to call Arnold a Republican with some liberal views. Now if there is direct proof that he belongs to the Nazi party Right now at this moment and he is an active member I would love to see that, I mean that would just make me do a back flip and change my thought of him forever. I doubt he is a Nazi, but everyone is entiled to their own thoughts, right or wrong.
as for being a rapist he has been accused of groping serveral women, as well as making some sexist comments (i don't know what they were)
Well the groping cases are "accused" at the moment, you know what people would do for attention, I am suspicious at the moment, but I am not going to go over board and just convict him of these crimes cus some woman says that she had been groped by Arnold. I need proof, creditable proof. I mean all these charges didnt start until when? When Arnold started to run for Governor. You think Groping like this would be a habit and we would of heard alot more of it, before he ran for governor, like it would of been all over the news, something like the Kobe Bryan case. Just thinking about it, the groping could of happen by accident since he was trying to shake hands in a large crowd and of by some chance accidently grab something else, so....I am not sure what's going on, but Ill stay open minded to all possiblities..
The sexist comment ehhh, you can say it was sexists, I just think it was a slip of a tonuge but you can be your own judge. But that is not going to stop me from thinking that he is a decent man, not until there is some hard evidence that 1. If he is a Nazi or belongs to Nazi party right now, 2. A sexist, or 3. Likes to Grop random women.
Other than that, my thought of Arnold are pretty good, he wants to do good, just may not have the proper thought of how to accomplish it.

Arnold spends 40,000 a month on 10 boxes of the finest cuban cigars. He has a pedicure everyday. He's just not that intelligent!
