If you listen to that track from the Earthbound soundtrack, it's an extended mix that encompasses the entire battles music.

At once point, the music dies down... And the Sound Stone melody slowly plays... Like a beautiful music box...

Some of the music in FEAR coupled with the lighting effects and sound effects gave me goosebumps.
REmake has an excellent creepy soundtrack.
