How did you learn flash?

So where did the majority of the animators on NG learn to use flash and how long did it take you to learn it? Are there any good websites out there that teach you some good animation tutorials?

Once youve read the above, lurk on the forums, watch peoples example, pick up the lanuage used, even copy a style of those that you think looks easy (But make sure to give them credit) Once you have enough experience, then you should think about moving onto your own ideas.

Also, try practicing drawing in flash before animating. Walk before you Run.

As previously stated, drawing by hand first is always good. Plan out your animations this way too, the end result will be better.
I just practiced with flash and got better and better with time. You pick up things by playing around in flash and watching other animations. It's pretty common for me to think "Oh! So that's how you do that!" after figuring out something from an animation here on NG.

dont just mess around with it. if you are serious putsome time and look at tutorials on newgrounds. and start off making games or movies like my first one. password

I learnt flash from various tutorials from Cartoonsmart. Although, i only bought one, i taught my self.

I used AS: Main, and studied a lot of it.

I also mostly used random google searches of Flash topics, and any Newgrounds tutorials that I could find.

I think this is an elaborate trick to get us to post our sources, so he can learn off of what makes us
great.

I learned about flash when i went to a tech camp. it was pretty awesome, but i didn't learn much. The following christmas i got flash and i taught myself from there on.

I went to a class that taught me flash. 4 years after my friend lended me a copy of flash because he found no use for it and learned from off of that

Figure out what you want to do. Based on your experiences here watching flash, you probably already know what is possible and what is not.

Start creating it. If you do not know how to do something, search the web for a tutorial on how to do it. NG tutorials might help some too.

trial and error...although i cant really tell you that that is the best way about it, i havent learned much aside from the basics....and know very little action scripting.
