Trouble with Banners?

Anyone else having trouble with banners on the sight recently? I've noticed that a couple months ago, new types of ads with more animation in them have been popping up around the internet (most I see on here). The ones I'm talking about are the ones for Gaia, Grand Chase and ones like that. The problem I have is that when those ads show up, I have trouble with scrolling the page, specifically when using the mouse wheel, and when I watch a movie or play a game here, the ad causes major lag. I use a Mozilla as my browser, but I don't think that's the problem as it's something that's started fairly recently when these new ads showed up. Is there anything that can be done about that? Do we complain to Newgrounds until they run less lag increasing ads?

That's one thing we don't do. At least not on the BBS, anyway.

They could stand to run some less flashy ads. The #1 reason they run ads in the 1st place is because they need the $$$. Still, tho, I'm not sure why they need to be so flashy.

I'm not saying get rid of the ads, of course i know they need them. Just something less flashy to stop the browser lag. I've had it get so bad that it's even cause my browser to freeze up.

They can be flashy without causing lag. I've seen plenty of flashy banners since early javascript came out. But it's only certain ads that are causing the lag, which means there is something more in there that needs to not be included is all... they can have flashy without the lag.

NG doesn't makes the ads and the staff are not responsible for how "flashy" each ad is.

But can't they do something like, restrict the file size of the ad or something? Maybe what's being put extra into the ad increases the file size.

Possibly but why would they want if the flashy ones are getting more clicks then the dull ones? It means more money for NG to stay free and on the net.

Anyway I do think the ads are a little laggy but there's not much that can be done as it's all in the admin's hands and their views on these ads.
