I'm looking for an honest answer, here.

Also, why can some people like WilliWowza get away with topics that are obviously spammy shit?

Most annoying is the aggravating and irrelevant responses to decent original posts, like this.

Can any serious user or mod clear this up?

It all depends on the moderator who is online. If you're going to make a thread with a funny quote and a picture of an anime character or a cat with the words "LOL, CHILI BEANS" strewn across it in white letters, you have a chance of not being banned.

All in all, if you post FHSDGHSGH all the time and don't contribute to topics, you'll get banned.

The spammy topics are by none other than obvious alts with 3 posts saying "hey i'm new...hi everyone!" and then the topics that are just pure shit. Pick your battles on what to post in. Sometimes you have to take the risk of posting in a topic that MIGHT be locked.

Look at the mods that are on at the time. You should know by now how mods do their job and specifically who choses what to lock. If you think it will get locked, it most likely will.

Some spam topics are complete shit, that aren't funny, original, or intelligent, while others are somewhat interesting and humorous. I'm pretty lenient with spam topics, as in I don't ban many people for posting in them or making them, but I do delete ones that I feel are a total waste of space. If you look through his post history it's not like the guy just spams bullshit all day. He has plenty of long, thought out posts. Plus, he's actually banned right now, so it's not as if he has immunity.

This is an example of a spammy, yet humorous topic. I see no reason to lock it, people are posting genuinely funny remarks. Why put an end to something that is entertaining?

It doesn't matter how serious you try to be in the General forums, there will be a few people who post to try to make light of the subject. If you want to be serious post in the Politics forums. It's not like you can't have a good discussion in the General forums, though.

Forum regulars, such as WilliWowza, somehow have people appreciate their spam, but their type of spam is different, first of all, its original and has something to laugh about, and secondly, it isnt that much of spam, its more like a spammy joke, just that its worth the site bandwith.

Zerok made a post, but its not the only one on the bbs. Maybe I'll elaborate a little bit. Most of your examples of threads you thought would be spam (about sex) often get locked or deleted when they get out of control. It depends on the mod and the thread. Everything is taken on a case by case basis.

I say videos and not flash since its pretty much a youtube video on newgrounds. As much fun as I'm sure it is for you, it is a spam video no different from Spam flashes that have always been on newgrounds.

The difference is that while they may appear to be spam, they must have some sort of underlying quality that makes them discussion worthy.

Also, mods expect people with higher post counts to be able to make a decent topic, as opposed to someone no one recognizes.
