I'm really stuck

It's really annoying. I got Flash today, but I do not know where to start! The characters are hard, I do not know a thing about ActionScript and I do not know anything about Flash!! Please, guys help me kick-start my Flash career...

New to Flash? Read this first! Honestly, you're going to have to read a lot of tutorials, don't expect to be able to make something kick-ass after only one day of messing about. It takes a lot of time, practice and patience.

You have to have atleast some skill. Play around with flash for a few months and see where you are at.

im sorry but i think the best way to learn flash is to use it,
i never really liked to use a tutorial (only for AS though)

we have a special student license here in germany (and i bet you can get it everywhere else) which is not that expensive.

Just make anything.. You like stick figures?? You do now. Make a couple of shorts. It dusnt matter how crap they are. It's just to practice everything. It took me half a year to do things properly....

The best advice I can give is seriously just to use the program. Use it, learn the processes and the guys of it, and practice. There's a really helpful Help menu (at least in Flash 8) that can get you started rather well.
Second piece of advice I can give is not to give up. Even after my first few flashes got blammed, I kept making more, determined to get them out there. Now I've had 2 flashes on the front page. Persistence is key!

You have to have the BA 3 or over to start a collab but anyone can join a collab with the permission of the collab starter.

And just give yourself mini projects... mini assignments. If you hit a wall, drop a post about the specific thing you are trying to learn and I am sure you will get plenty of people jumping on board to help.
