Canadians are so used to having their Canadian ego and pride stroked and having Americans belittled and berated in your media, that you consider this to be normal and status quo. You consider it to be normal coverage of Americans when it fact your typical media coverage at its most neutral is already biased from the beginning. Your media is DESIGNED to do this, it doesn't have to say "Death to America" to intentionally create an overly-negative and biased view of the US.

The only major Canadian news network is the CBC, which is owned by your government. You may watch American TV shows and news stations, but what you get from the US has to be filtered through Can Con laws at the same time. Other forms of media like newspapers and magazines are still influenced by your cultural protectionism.

What Canadians hear, not only in the news, but in society as a whole, what you are taught, what your dad tells you... it's based on a cultural outlook that intentionally barricades itself from the truth in order to maintain a false sense of pride.

Any magazines i read, are American. I dont recall reading any hatred towards America in newspapers, and i watch CNN more than CBC. I dont get any bias from the media.
My dad says "its a good thing their on our side", and the like.. he doesnt bash America at all, and at one point he had a job opportunity to move to America and we we're going to take it, but there were complications and we couldnt.

I get the CBC, I live relatively close to the Canadian border. Your media is biased against the US, it is entirely unquestionable. The shit I have seen passed off as "news" on Canadian TV is just about the most blatantly biased nonsense I've ever seen, aside from Chinese communist propaganda.
