It all started back when I bought the awkwardly humorous game "Contact" for the DS, falling in love with the description on the back of the game's box. It was very original, and it poked fun at some other RPGs that reused the same plots over and over again. I was most interested in the fact that there was Wi-Fi play involved, and considering one is the loneliest number... Well, enough said.
However, after starting Contact up and getting a good status in the game, Hell, I even went as far as beating the game since I was so addicted... Anyways, after that, I decided "Well, why not? Try the Wi-Fi." Amazingly I found someone who had the game just as I did, but... I had expected to go on some adventure with them or have a battle with them. Neither happened. It was just a transfer of stats to a 'Wi-fi Island."

Alright, so the Wi-Fi play was a disappointment. After I got bored with Contact in a month or two, I decided to get a new game. However, I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be disappointed once more. I went ahead and browsed the local GameStop once more and found Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Rings of Fate. Looked at the back, multiple warriors in the same screen working together played by seperate players! On the front, it did say Wi-Fi play too...

FFCCROF was actually very fun to play one player. The gameplay is very different from the Gamecube version, true, but there was a better storyline to it in my opinion. I didn't really understand how the Gamecube one worked, plotwise. Then again, I never bothered to beat the game. *Laughs* At any rate, I discovered, to my horror, that the only thing that had to do with Wi-Fi about the game was... Well, it's called a Mog Trader. YOu trade a mog you designed with someone else...

THE LEAST they could have done was give us a chance to play those stupid mini-games online. :/ *sigh*

Well, my point here for this topic is: Have you ever found a game that was disappointing towards its Online Multiplayer functions? You can name them here, I just don't want to feel stupid and alone about this sort of accident.

You're quite right, there. Uuugh... I remember it all too well. I STILL remember it due to my infernal sister forcing me to 'assist' her in playing the game. How hard could it be to play Animal Crossing DS? How is she so incapable to play it!? Argh...

Fable for Xbox made me sad when all I could do was see online friends, not play with them.

Most DS game Wi-Fi sucks. You play hoping for something awesome and super spectacular, only for it to be something gay like a leaderboard system or something. Then you find what you think to be something awesome ans super spectacular only for it to be plauged with hackers.

Awesome sig made by EvilJesus! :D

Actually, I have had experiences with GOOD Wi-Fi games. :) To name a few, Advanced Wars Days of Ruin, Digimon Dawn/Digimon Dusk... And... Wow, that was more like a couple than a few. :/

But still, your point stands, EFM. MOST of them indeed suck. I just hope that once they decided to make a Super Smash Brothers DS, they'll think about all the multiplayer capabilities for it.

They've been WAY overdue for a Super Smash Brothers DS game, hoenstly. >.>I thought there should've been one after Melee came out, and now that Brawl is out... Sheesh, let's hope they jump the DS bandwagon.

(Then again, these are the same morons who took so long to see that a Mario Party for DS is actually FUN. :/ )
