Portal Speed Run

I've been trying to see how fast I can beat Portal so that this Friday I can face off against my friend. My best record is exactly 1 hour. This was no easy task though, I even died a couple times.

Wow, I've officially hit my limit for portal. Got to chamber 15 and decided to quit out. I guess it didn't help I was playing it in Russian, but still.

Buy the Orange Box. Make sure to use momentum for certain puzzles.

I just saw a video of a guy who beat it in under 14 minutes using strategically placed portals and jumping backwards.

I don't think speedrunning Portal is that fun. You kinda' skip through all the humor, and honestly I wouldn't like practising the same core gameplay over and over again.

i beat portal the first time in just a regular playthrough. the second time io did it with the commentary, and the third time i think i beat it in a little over an hour. Once you understand the puzzles and everything, it gets sorta easy.

BTW has anyone played the "Portal: The Flash Version" map pack? i just beat it the other day, and its cool.

I think the time limit challenge for the third or fourth level is thirty seconds... And it takes me two minutes...

No clue what my time is, around the 30 minutes I guess. The record is 18:05 on YouTube but the runner found out new tricks later which sure could make him run around the 15:30 if he really wants to.
